Ces derniers sont de plus en plus sédentaires et passent de plus en plus de temps devant les écrans au détriment de la pratique d'activités physiques et sportives. L'objectif de cette thèse est de montrer les bienfaits mais aussi les risques de la pratique sportive, qu'elle soit pratiquée à haut niveau ou en tant que loisir. Le but est aussi de proposer des solutions afin d'augmenter le temps de pratique d'activités physiques des enfants et des adolescents et d'aborder la nutrition et les troubles qui peuvent lui être associés liés à une pratique d'activité sportive. Pour se faire, des recherches bibliographiques ont été faites ainsi qu'une enquête sur le sport intensif chez l'enfant et l'adolescent et leur ressentit. Les résultats permettent de démontrer beaucoup de bienfaits de l'activité physique et sportive, même pratiquée à haut niveau et haute intensité. Ces bienfaits peuvent être physique, mental ou même social. Les risques et conséquences restent cependant présent avec les blessures, les pathologies de croissances, les problèmes de nutrition tel que l'anorexie ou la boulimie ou encore l'anxiété et l'aspect chronophage de certaines activités. Cependant, il faut en retenir que bien qu'il y ait également quelques aspects négatifs, les aspects positifs sont bien plus importants et que la plupart des risques et conséquences peuvent être évités en informant l'enfant/ l'adolescent et son entourage et en réalisant des suivis médicaux réguliers. Le pharmacien, en tant que professionnel de santé, est un acteur important qui peut informer et conseiller les jeunes et leur entourage sur la pratique d'une activité physique et les recommandations qui l'accompagnent.
