Cependant le manque de précision de ces guides conventionnels ne permet pas d'envisager cette mise en charge immédiate de manière reproductible au même titre que lorsque des aménagements osseux pré implantaires sont à envisager. Un nouveau type de guide à étages a récemment été développé et semble prometteur pour palier les limites des guides statiques actuels. Ce travail a pour objectif de faire l'état des connaissances actuelles sur le guide à étages.
