La construction de la notion de risque professionnel a circonscrit les - problématiques de santé au travail dans le champ des relations de travail. Ce régime a été adapté aux nécessités conjoncturelles pendant près d'un siècle. Aujourd'hui, il est marqué par des évolutions impliquant une recomposition du régime juridique des risques professionnels autour du concept d'ordre public sanitaire. Dans un contexte où l'ordre juridique communautaire commande l'intégration des politiques sociales, sanitaires et environnementales, le rapport au risque modifie les contours du couple prévention/réparation. La prolifération et la globalisation des dommages invitent à' décloisonner les préoccupations de santé au travail et d'identifier les, facteurs d'évolution du droit à l'aune des concepts d'ordre public sanitaire et de développement durable. L'intégration d'un objectif de sécurité sanitaire au sein de la sphère professionnelle repose sur, deux vecteurs. D'une part, le renforcement des préoccupations sanitaires passe par la primauté du droit à la santé sur les relations contractuelles et statutaires. D'autre part, l'émergence d'une situation professionnelle en crise participe d'un mouvement d'extension du champ de la santé publique au concept de risque professionnel. Ce mouvement s'accompagne de la nécessité impérieuse d'expliciter les liens entre droit de la santé et droit de l'environnement. Le domaine des risques dus au travail permet de faire émerger un enrichissement mutuel du droit social et du droit de l'environnement dans sa dimension sanitaire. Cet enrichissement perceptible tant au stade des principes que des instruments du droit de l'environnement ne contribue pas tant à une déliquescence des branches du droit, mais organiser les conditions d'une approche globale et responsable des risques, y compris professionnels.

The 2018 TZG updates and expands on the guidance in the one previous jointly-developed, zoonoses-specific guidance document: the 2008 Tripartite “Zoonotic Diseases: A Guide to Establishing Collaboration between Animal and Human Health Sectors at the Country Level”, developed in WHO South-East Asia Region and Western Pacific Region. The 2018 TZG supports building by countries of the resilience and capacity to address emerging and endemic zoonotic diseases such as avian influenza, rabies, Ebola, and Rift Valley fever, as well as food-borne diseases and antimicrobial resistance, and to minimize their impacts on health, livelihoods, and economies. It additionally supports country efforts to implement WHO International Health Regulations (2005) and OIE international standards, to address gaps identified through external and internal health system evaluations, and to achieve targets of the Sustainable Development Goals. The 2018 TZG provides relevant country ministries and agencies with lessons learned and good practices identified from country-level experiences in taking OH approaches for preparedness, prevention, detection and response to zoonotic disease threats, and provides guidance on multisectoral communication, coordination, and collaboration. It informs on regional and country-level OH activities and relevant unisectoral and multisectoral tools available for countries to use.

Blending social and environmental history, Andrew W. Kahrl tells the story of African American–owned beaches in the twentieth century. By reconstructing African American life along the coast, Kahrl demonstrates just how important these properties were for African American communities and leisure, as well as for economic empowerment, especially during the era of the Jim Crow South. However, in the wake of the civil rights movement and amid the growing prosperity of the Sunbelt, many African Americans fell victim to effective campaigns to dispossess black landowners of their properties and beaches. Kahrl makes a signal contribution to our understanding of African American landowners and real-estate developers, as well as the development of coastal capitalism along the southern seaboard, tying the creation of overdeveloped, unsustainable coastlines to the unmaking of black communities and cultures along the shore.
