Ces mesures ont un coût, variable d'un cabinet à l'autre, fonction de son organisation. Praticien isolé ou assisté, cabinet de groupe, la répartition de ces frais n'est pas la même et semble mieux gérée au sein d'un cabinet employant une assistante. Dans ce travail, nous avons observé le fonctionnement de 3 cabinets : le cabinet A (un praticien isolé), le cabinet B (un praticien et une assistante), le cabinet C (un cabinet de groupe comptant trois praticiens et deux assistantes). A titre d'exemple, en 2010, le cabinet A a consacré presque 30% de son chiffre d'affaires aux procédures d'hygiène-asepsie, tandis que les cabinets B et C n'ont investi qu'environ 10% de leur chiffre d'affaires pour l'application de ces mêmes mesures. Ceci montre combien une bonne organisation est aujourd'hui plus que jamais indispensable pour assurer le fonctionnement normal de tout cabinet dentaire.
