Mitroff “...Vince has masterfully blended the art of organizational respect with the science of data inquiry to drive change and realize strategic vision. A master storyteller, he does not just teach, his book brings his learnings to life in a meaningful way that if carefully listened to, can change the course of a career.” -- Paul D'Alessandro Principal, Health Industries, PwC US “In his latest book, Vince Barabba integrates his vast knowledge from 50 years of dedicated work in both the public and private sectors in order to provide leaders with an actionable framework for radically improving how their organizations collect and use information to make the best decisions for all the wicked messes that now appear in our global village... The ‘On Star’ story demonstrates to you how the initial product-centered thinking was proselytized to ‘thinking in systems’." -- John Pourdehnad Visiting Professor, IESE Business School and Faulty of Systems Leadership, Thomas Jefferson University “In writing Systems Thinking Decision-Making Process: How to Avoid Burnt Toast, Vince Barabba is addressing the limits of knowledge management systems which enable ‘organizations as usual’ to share best practices on how to scrape toast faster and cheaper... The examples shared by Vince, from his first-hand experiences in corporate America or his services as a marketing consultant, contribute invaluable clarity to his goal of providing a “sketch of an Inquiry Center Learning and Support System” for those with the ambition to lead efforts to work smarter, not harder, firmly against the grain of ‘organizations as usual’...” -- Bill Bellows, Ph.D., President, InThinking Services Adjunct Professor, California State University, Northridge and Southern Utah University Advisory Council Member and Former Deputy Director, The W. Edwards Deming Institute® “In his ‘last book’, Vince weaves the experiences and learning of a lifetime into whole cloth of insight and wisdom. He helps us to find relevant information from a rapidly changing world and apply it to making good decisions. This is a masterpiece of knowledge presented in a very entertaining way.” -- Carl Spetzler Chairman, Strategic Decisions Group International LLC “This is a truly inspiring and mind changing book directly relevant for our times... Vince has shown through his remarkable work that business and government are a force for good when leaders think long term, work with, not against nature, and use their influence and resources for the many, not the few...” -- Osvald Bjelland Founder and President, Xynteo Founder, The Performance Theatre Foundation

Download or read book Essai pour la construction d un syst me int ractif d aide a la d cision written by Mouloud Tensaout and published by . This book was released on 1995 with total page 818 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Decision Modelling and Information Systems

Download or read book Decision Modelling and Information Systems written by Nikitas-Spiros Koutsoukis and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 368 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In Decision Modelling And Information Systems: The Information Value Chain the authors explain the interrelationships between the decision support, decision modelling, and information systems. The first two parts of the book focus on the interdisciplinary decision support framework, in which mathematical programming (optimization) is taken as the inference engine. The role of business analytics and its relationship with recent developments in organisational theory, decision modelling, information systems and information technology are considered in depth. Part three of the book includes a carefully chosen selection of invited contributions from internationally-known researchers. These contributions are thought-provoking and cover key decision modelling and information systems issues. The final part of the book covers contemporary developments in the related area of business intelligence considered within an organizational context. The topics cover computing delivered across the web, management decision-making, and socio-economic challenges that lie ahead. It is now well accepted that globalisation and the impact of digital economy are profound; and the role of e-business and the delivery of decision models (business analytics) across the net lead to a challenging business environment. In this dynamic setting, decision support is one of the few interdisciplinary frameworks that can be rapidly adopted and deployed to so that businesses can survive and prosper by meeting these new challenges.

Book Des syst mes d aide la d cision temps r el et distribu s

Download or read book Des syst mes d aide la d cision temps r el et distribu s written by Claude Duvallet and published by Editions Universitaires Europeennes. This book was released on 2011-12 with total page 184 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Psychologie de la d cision 3e dition written by Pierre Lainey and published by Editions JFD. This book was released on 2017-09-11 with total page 223 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Governing Operational Decisions in an Enterprise Scalable Way

Download or read book Governing Operational Decisions in an Enterprise Scalable Way written by Jonathon Carr and published by IBM Redbooks. This book was released on 2017-08-02 with total page 190 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This IBM® Redbooks® publication introduces operational decision governance and describes in detail how to implement it using the IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) platform. ODM allows businesses to automate and manage day-to-day operational decisions. It provides an integrated repository and management components for line-of-business, subject-matter experts to directly participate in the definition and governance of rules-based decision logic, organized in decision services. Governance of changes to decision services is of particular importance and value. This book describes how organizations can choose between the built-in ODM decision governance framework or a custom governance based on manually managed branches. Related topics, such as access control, permissions and user management, are covered and give a full view on decision service governance. You will find this book valuable if you are using or considering the usage of an operational decision management system in your organization, either with ODM on-premises or ODM on Cloud offerings. This book was written to help assist the following target audience in applying Decision Management technology successfully: IT Project Managers need to understand how decision governance differs from IT Governance, and how ODM straddles both worlds to facilitate agile change. IT Technical Architects need to understand how to architect ODM to sit inside both the IT and business worlds. Business Analysts need to understand the processes for changing business policies using ODM Decision Center. Business Rule Development Teams need to understand the best way to structure rule projects for scalability and maintainability.
