Many people do not like to talk about sexual matters, Even they are less likely to discuss on or about rape. If someone was raised in an environment where they did not talk about sexual things, they will be less likely to report a rape as an adult. Rape does not comes into consideration because victims fear they will not be believed.

This book was released on 2020-08-14 with total page 155 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The growth of mass communication is a dual process – the development of an industry and the evaluation of an audience. It is important to understand who uses the medium and why they use it and with what perspective it is being used. The audio-visual medium is very powerful in reaching the masses. So it is the responsibility of the media to satisfy the needs of the people based on the changes that are taking place in the society. Every message is given with an interpretation and no message is neutral. This implies that there must be a prior study of the issue from the people’s point of view. This book focuses on the collective perception of Tamil audience (based on gender and age categories) on Tamil cinema and Tamil television programmes in general of the period 1990 to 2015. It reveals the significant attitude of the public towards women artistes in Tamil cinema and Tamil TV channels. The audience suggestions for a better representation of women artistes in these media are provided. The summation is given under a seven-criteria approach. A workspace is provided to enable the reader to make interpretations with the available statistical information.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the dazzling world of Bollywood, where dreams shimmer as brightly as the stars, an undercurrent of dark secrets flows beneath the surface. Amidst this glamorous facade, Asavari, a fearless journalist with an insatiable curiosity, finds herself on the trail of a mysterious and chilling story. The suicide of a celebrated actress raises more questions than it answers, and Asavari is determined to uncover the truth. The investigation takes an unexpected turn when a suicide note left by the actress hints at something far more sinister. The note speaks of a dark, mystical force at work, leading Asavari into a world of ancient curses, forbidden rituals, and supernatural entities. As she digs deeper, she encounters the enigmatic figure of Mugdha Godbole, whose transformation defies the boundaries of reality and reason. Mugdha, once a mortal, has transformed into a terrifying presence. Her eyes have turned white, and her form has shifted into a ghastly black shadow. This remarkable transformation was witnessed by actress Kalpna Shing and her friends Reena and Meena on a night that will haunt their memories forever. The scene was surreal and horrifying—Mugdha's large eyes were glowing white, her face was changing color, and her clothes were turning as black as night. She became a terrible black witch with white eyes that struck terror into their hearts. As the three friends cling to each other in fear, Mugdha's terrifying transformation continues. She screams and roars, her voice a dreadful sound that reverberates through the room and their very beings. This voice, echoing like an angry bear, is something that Kalpna can never forget. The fear is palpable, and the supernatural presence of Mugdha leaves them trembling and unable to move. Mugdha's voice, now harsh and commanding, tells them not to be afraid, promising not to harm them if they remain calm. This voice, filled with both menace and allure, invites them to come closer. Despite their overwhelming fear, the three friends find themselves compelled to obey. They move their chairs closer to her, their bodies shaking with terror and anticipation of what is to come. In this tense and surreal moment, Mugdha reveals her true nature. She claims to live within the darkness, describing herself as a being of the night - a powerful entity whose presence is both a blessing and a curse. She offers them a deal: worship her, and she will grant them power and success beyond their wildest dreams. In return, they must accept her as their deity and receive a gift that will forever bind them to her. The stage is set for a harrowing journey into the unknown, where the lines between reality and horror blur, and the pursuit of truth leads deeper into the shadows. Kalpna, despite her fear, finds herself considering the offer filled with promises of ending sorrows and elevating to great heights made by Mugdha. The allure of success and the promise of a deity who can grant her deepest desires is almost too powerful to resist. She rationalizes that Mugdha’s terrifying appearance is a natural aspect of her supernatural power. With a mix of fear and a strange sense of hope, Kalpna folds her hands in respect before Mugdha. Seeing her do this, Reena and Meena follow suit, their minds filled with a blend of terror and a flicker of belief in the dark promise before them. The terrifying black woman’s dreadful laugh, sounding like thousands of voices, echoes through the room, sealing their pact with the night. Kalpna’s quest for answers in "The Witch of Bollywood" promises a tale of courage, resilience, and the dark allure of forbidden power, drawing readers into a world where every revelation brings new depths of terror and mystery.

Book The English Translation of C nd yan

Download or read book The English Translation of C nd yan written by Naseem A. Hines and published by Taylor & Francis. This book was released on 2023-06-16 with total page 347 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is the first English translation of Cāndāyan, the pioneer work in a long tradition of Indian-Sufi love narratives. The story was adapted from an oral epic Chanaini, popular in the Awadhi speaking region of north India in the fourteenth century. The early manuscripts of Cāndāyan, though composed in the Awadhi dialect, were recorded in the Persian script. Each stanza-like unit is introduced by a phrase or sentences in the Persian language style, making it necessary for a reader to know the Persian script and language, as well as the Awadhi dialect. This somewhat limits the access to fully explore Cāndāyan. In addition to this, the esoteric interpretation, which is the distinguishing feature that gives the Indian-Sufi masnavī literature its unique identity, was also not yet realized. Cāndāyan deserves to be celebrated and recognized because it marks the beginning of the indigenizing process of the masnavī in India, and served as a model for this literary genre for the next 540 years. A serious study of Maulana Daud’s Cāndāyan, composed in 1379, in the reign of Firoz Shah Tughlaq, did not begin until well into the twentieth century because only a few pages of its manuscript folios were discovered at a time, in various academic institutions and museums around the world. Cāndāyan is a fascinating study of the blending of the features of the Persian masnavī with the features of the Hindi premākhyān narratives and the features of the medieval Jain literature. Even today, annually in the Mahakoshala region Cāndāyan is presented in the form of drama and in the folk-song and play forms. Book Encyclopedia of Bollywood Film Actresses

Download or read book Encyclopedia of Bollywood Film Actresses written by Renu Saran and published by Diamond Pocket Books Pvt Ltd. This book was released on 2014-02-25 with total page 284 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There was a time when children used to go to their grandpa and grandma often. In a playful way, they would learn and absorb the beautiful values of life. But today, when everyone is becoming busier, at such a time, it is only the stories which can bring us closer to the future generation. Those moments at night before sleeping, when we and our little ones enjoy the stories together, are invaluable. In these moments, unknowingly, the love between us becomes stronger, and the children learn the first lesson of their lives—the value of beautiful relationships. The attempt has been to see each story through the eyes of a child, and to listen to each story with the ears of a child, and understand it with a child's heart. The effort has been that if there is any word which pricks their innocent minds, then that should not reach them through the medium of these stories. The effort here has been that each story has a positive end, from which the dreams of the children get a positive beginning.

Book Lage Raho Munna Bhai

Download or read book Lage Raho Munna Bhai written by Vinod Chopra and published by Om Books International. This book was released on 2010 with total page 174 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since its release on September 1, 2006, Lage Raho Munna Bhai has been watched by millions, broken box-office records, won unprecedented praise from the masses and critics alike, and most importantly, forced a nation of one billion people and the world’s largest democracy to revisit their much misunderstood icon, Mahatma Gandhi.Following the release of the film, there has been a four hundred percent increase in the sale of literature about Gandhi. Schools and universities have introduced courses on Gandhigiri - a phrase from the film that has become a part of India’s collective consciousness. Websites, fan clubs, discussion forums, and citizen groups have sprung across the nation to discuss the film’s unique ideas. The Washington Post called the film, “A phenomenon that made Gandhi a pop icon.” Amazingly, the movie that has inspired such an astonishing response is an unassuming comedy. A gangster has hallucinations that he can see Gandhi! With this simple premise, the movie explores the relevance of Gandhian ideals in the contemporary world beleaguered by violence and hate, while never forgetting to be, as The Guardian points out, “A magnificent entertainment.”
