Book The Weekend that Changed the World

Download or read book The Weekend that Changed the World written by Peter Walker and published by Westminster John Knox Press. This book was released on 2000-01-01 with total page 270 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This Book answers key questions that surround Jesus' death and argues that the events of that fateful weekend in Jerusalem changed the world forever. Layer upon layer of detail draws the reader into the frightening hours leading up to Jesus' death. The volume traces the movements of all involved in his tragic execution and follows the story to the empty tomb, examining the improbability that anyone could be raised from death. Walker discusses at length the location of Jesus' burial, drawing on the evidence of the Gospels, archaeology, and church history, and focuses on the two likely sites: the Garden Tomb and the church of the Holy Sepulchre. Walker also explores the impact of Jesus' resurrection on Christians then and now, noting how the message of the Garden Tomb has been a source of inspiration to millions of people from all over the World: "He Is Not Here, For He Is Risen."

Book They Found the Ark of the Covenant Jesus Tomb and Crucifixion Site

Download or read book They Found the Ark of the Covenant Jesus Tomb and Crucifixion Site written by Kevin Quinn and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2020-07 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: They have found the Ark of the Covenant, Christ tomb, and the Crucifixion site, buried under a trash pile at Golgotha (Skull Mountain) in Jerusalem. After being lost for over 2,600 years the Ark of the Covenant was found in Jeremiah's Cave (Grotto), directly below where Jesus was crucified. A Roman soldier thrust his lance into Jesus' heart between the 5th and sixth rib, to make sure He was dead; And blood and water came gushing out of His side, running down over His feet into the cross hole and down through the crack in the rock, dripping onto the Mercy Seat of the Ark of the Covenant. The Prophet Isaiah wrote that Jesus when He was bruised and broken would sprinkle many nations. The Ark of the Covenant had been purposely hidden there by God the Father and the prophet Jeremiah, just before Solomon's Temple was destroyed by the Babylonians in 586 BC. There are dark bloodstains on the ceiling of the cave on both sides of the earthquake crack, and on both sides of cracked stone volt cover, and on the gold mercy seat of the Ark of the Covenant. The crack above the Ark ran 20 feet through solid rock, directly up to the crack in the cross-hole, which was determined by pushing a metal tape measure down through the crack. And Just as the Lamb's blood sprinkled on their doors saved the Jews from God's wrath when the Angel of Death Passed over Egypt. "Jesus Christ our Passover was slain for us." And the Lamb's blood sprinkled on the mercy seat of the Ark of the Covenant, would save all those who believe in Jesus Christ, and ask Him to forgive all their sins, and to come into their hearts and take control of their lives. Jesus is God's only begotten Son, the innocent Lamb that God the Father knew before He laid the foundations of the earth, would have to die on the cross to pay for the sins of many.

Book How Long Was Jesus Christ in the Tomb

Download or read book How Long Was Jesus Christ in the Tomb written by Leslie Rendell and published by Bible Studies. This book was released on 2022-12-15 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Was Jesus Christ three days and three nights in the tomb? We know that He was buried about sunset on the day He was crucified. And from the scriptures we know He claimed He would be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth, the same time as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish. So if Jesus was to rise from the grave after this time frame, which was the only sign that He would give to the Pharisees and Sadducees, Then what day and hour did He rise from the dead? This is a very controversial subject and there are several different answers. The only place we can get an accurate answer is from the word of God. The Holy Bible. I wrote this book as a result of my personal studies on this subject. Traditional Christianity follows the Good Friday crucifixion and resurrected on Sunday Morning. Other Christian groups believe in a Wednesday Afternoon burial and a Saturday or Sabbath day Resurrection three days later. Which one is correct and is it possible to prove it from the scriptures alone? If Jesus Christ was to accurately fulfil the prophecy of the "sign of Jonah". Which was the only sign He was to give the Pharisees. Then how many hours was the Son of Man to be in the grave before He was resurrected from the dead? A study of this topic is the purpose of this book. The correct answer to the question "When did Jesus rise from the tomb" may be a surprise to many readers. I have given many scripture references to back up what I have written. God bless you for reading.
