En este trabajo, a la luz de lo que se comprende como interculturalidad, se reflexiona sobre lo que ha sido la interacción asimétrica entre el sistema científico hegemónico y los sistemas indígenas subalternos, y se propone la construcción consensuada del sentido, los contenidos y las finalidades de la interculturalidad para avanzar hacia la superación de la perspectiva colonizadora, predominante en el diálogo de conocimientos.
