Cioè un’interpretazione della storia, della cultura e dell’esistenza umana elaborata mediante una particolare chiave ermeneutica: la Parola di Dio. Egli ebbe una comprensione creaturale del mondo, che diventava pienamente e veramente intelligibile solo se messo in relazione al suo Creatore. Si trattava di un procedimento di tipo analogico, che valorizzava la somiglianza tra le creature e Colui che le ha poste in essere. Tuttavia Guardini non si limitò a valorizzare l’analogia entis, a cui già i teologi medievali avevano fatto ricorso per argomentare l’esistenza di Dio e i suoi attributi a partire dell’esistenza del mondo. Piuttosto giunse a invertire l’analogia: a suo parere occorre non più dimostrare Dio a partire dal basso, dal mondo, ma decifrare la realtà del mondo, spiegarsi la sua esistenza, a partire da Dio, dall’alto. E siccome il mondo, nella sua creaturalità, è «affine» al suo Creatore, per essere compreso nella sua verità deve essere ri-conosciuto, quasi rintracciato e ritrovato, nel suo «archetipo», cioè in Dio stesso.
