Esta obra de corte práctico va dirigida principalmente a los operadores jurídicos que, de una u otra forma, hayan de enfrentarse a un procedimiento judicial de reclamación por vicios de la construcción, de larga duración y elevado coste en la práctica totalidad de los casos. En ella se analizan las numerosas cuestiones y dificultades, tanto procesales como de fondo, que plantea el régimen legal específico de este tipo de demandas, contenido en la Ley 38/1999, de 5 de noviembre, de Ordenación de la Edificación. Los veintitrés años transcurridos desde su entrada en vigor no restan interés ni actualidad al tema, pues persisten a día de hoy las discrepancias doctrinales sobre muchas de las cuestiones abiertas, que carecen aún de una respuesta consolidada por parte de nuestros tribunales. Sin descuidar el estudio de la doctrina científica, la autora se detiene en el análisis de la copiosa jurisprudencia del Tribunal Supremo recaída en la materia, dejando constancia incluso de su evolución en aquellos extremos en los que se han producido cambios de criterio.
