Complexes, les problèmes abordés se rapportent tous aux traumatismes de la mémoire et de l'oubli, aux impasses de l'écriture de l'histoire et déterminent les poétiques mises en oeuvre dans les champs littéraires des Caraïbes. Le présent volume des Actes du troisième congrès prolonge les deux volumes précédents respectivement parus chez le même éditeur en 2011 et 2013. The Regional Council of Guadeloupe, in collaboration with the Association of Caribbean Writers, organised the third edition of the Congress of Caribbean Writers from April 10th to 13th, 2013. The theme of this third Congress, at which the distinguished American writer, Russel Banks was the Guest of Honour, served as a foundation for analysing the circumstances and conditions behind the establishment and collapse of colonial slave societies in the Caribbean islands: "A collective epic, our fight for freedom - historic truth and romantic fiction in Caribbean literatures". The issues addressed were complex and connected to the trauma of memory and oblivion as well as to the impasses of writing history employed in the literary fields of the Caribbean. This volume of the Proceedings of the third Congress is a continuation of the two preceding volumes, which were distributed by the same publisher in 2011 and 2013 respectively. En colaboraci6n con la Asociaci6n de escritores del Caribe, la Regi6n Guadalupe organiz6, del 10 al 13 de abril de 2013, la tercera edici6n del Congreso de Escritores del Caribe. El tema de reflexi6n de este tercer congreso cuyo invitado de honor fue el eminente escritor americano, Russel BANKS, provee la materia del recorrido analftico de las circunstancias y condiciones de formaci6n y derrumbe de las sociedades coloniales esclavistas del archipiélago cariberto: "Una epopeya colectiva, las luchas por la libertad: verdad hist6rica y ficci6n romanesca en las I iteraturas caribefias".
