Download or read book Terapia narrativa basada en la atenci n plena para la depresi n written by Alberto Fernández Liria and published by Desclée De Brouwer. This book was released on 2013-12-02 with total page 400 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Contemporary Rorschach Interpretation

Download or read book Contemporary Rorschach Interpretation written by J. Reid Meloy and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2013-10-31 with total page 615 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Appreciation of the beauty and complexity of the human mind when perceiving an ambiguous stimulus led Dr. Hermann Rorschach to develop his scientific method eighty years ago. Full of gratitude for his brief life and work, the editors hope this volume will stand as an idiographic testament to his brilliance for the Rorschach students of the future. The contributors are clearly the most notable Rorschach clinicians in practice, and their work integrates the Comprehensive System and psychoanalytic methods. This book is organized into four sections. Within each of the first three sections -- devoted to psychotic, borderline, and neurotic disorders respectively -- the editors and invited authors have contributed Rorschach case studies which vertically cut a character pathology, personality disorder, or clinical diagnosis through a particular level of personality organization. The last section charts the enormously varied course that Rorschach work can navigate -- from the understanding of a Nobel laureate, the pain of trauma and transexuality, and the Nazi perversion of youth, to the consensus Rorschach in couple's therapy and cutting edge work in neuropsychology.

Book The Rorschach Technique

Download or read book The Rorschach Technique written by Edward Aronow and published by Allyn & Bacon. This book was released on 1994 with total page 328 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Written by three leading experts in Rorschach content analysis, this practical volume presents the Rorschach as it is frequently used by experienced psychologists. It covers both traditional and alternative approaches to interpretation, providing a thorough exposition of the perceptual and content roles of the Rorschach in assessment and treatment. The book breaks new ground in several ways. The authors have focused on creating a work that is clinically relevant and useful. To that end, perceptual scoring and tabulation have been simplified in order to make the presentation more understandable. Pathological verbalizations and content analysis are covered in depth. An extensive discussion shows how the Rorschach and other projective techniques can be used not only for assessment, but as tools in the psycho-therapeutic endeavor. Coverage of the Consensus Rorschach explains its use with more than one subject - a technique that is particularly useful in marriage and family counseling. Finally, the book includes extensive case material and verbatim protocols that show the reader how to use the methods of interpretation presented. The authors begin with a brief history and review of the current status of inkblot techniques, followed by a discussion of traditional administrative techniques and what is known about blot stimulus characteristics. Traditional scoring and interpretation are presented, including the simple content categories, tabulation, and traditional perceptual interpretation. The section ends with a brief summary on normative data and a chapter covering the scoring of pathological verbalizations. The second half of the book presents the "content-idiographic" approach toRorschach interpretation. The theoretical underpinnings of content interpretation in general and idiographic content interpretation in particular are introduced, and the weaknesses and problems in this approach are explored. This section includes detailed coverage of content sequence analysis and content-oriented methods of administration, with particular reference to the Content Rorschach Technique developed by the authors. The Consensus Rorschach Technique is also described, and there is a discussion (with case studies) of how clinicians can integrate the Rorschach and other projective techniques into their psychotherapeutic work. The book ends with three complete protocols, offering additional insight into both traditional and content techniques.

Book excerpt: "Each of these marvelous poems engages as instantly as a photograph: you read two or three words and you're on the scene, recoiling in horror as Trotsky is murdered or twisting uncomfortably as your daughter buys her first bra. There's no need to 'develop' Stephen Gibson's pictures; they enter your mind so fast that you can't help feeling that what's happening on the page has already happened and that, very likely, you were there when it did. He's a poet for other poets to learn from, for no one else writing today uses language as economically or to more immediate effect." --David Kirby
