Book Otra globalizaci n Hacia una gobernanza pol tica multilateral

Download or read book Otra globalizaci n Hacia una gobernanza pol tica multilateral written by Pío García and published by U. Externado de Colombia. This book was released on 2021-06-08 with total page 46 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book LA GLOBALIZACI N CONCEPTO PARA LA CONSTRUCCI N DE LA HISTORIA DEL MUNDO ACTUAL

Download or read book LA GLOBALIZACI N CONCEPTO PARA LA CONSTRUCCI N DE LA HISTORIA DEL MUNDO ACTUAL written by Sergio Rigo Martínez and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2012-10-03 with total page 99 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: La globalización representa nuestro mundo actual.

Book excerpt: 2022 Catholic Media Association honorable mention in scripture: academic studies Teaching and researching the Gospel of John for thirty years has led author Mary L. Coloe to an awareness of the importance of the wisdom literature to make sense of Johannine theology, language, and symbolism: in the prologue, with Nicodemus, in the Bread of Life discourse, with Mary and Lazarus, and in the culminating “Hour.” She also shows how the late Second Temple theology expressed in the books of Sirach and Wisdom, considered deuterocanonical and omitted from some Bible editions, are essential intertexts. Only the book of Wisdom speaks of “the reign of God” (Wis 10:10), “eternity life” (Wis 5:15), and the ambrosia maintaining angelic life (Wis 19:21)—all concepts found in John’s Gospel. While the Gospel explicitly states the Logos was enfleshed in Jesus, this is also true of Sophia. Coloe makes the case that Jesus’s words and deeds embody Sophia throughoutthe narrative. At the beginning of each chapter Coloe provides text from the later wisdom books that resonate with the Gospel passage, drawing Sophia out of the shadows.

Book Latin American Literature at the Millennium

Download or read book Latin American Literature at the Millennium written by Cecily Raynor and published by Rutgers University Press. This book was released on 2021-04-16 with total page 191 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Latin American Literature at the Millennium: Local Lives, Global Spaces analyzes literary constructions of locality from the early 1990s to the mid 2010s. In this astute study, Raynor reads work by Roberto Bolaño, Valeria Luiselli, Luiz Ruffato, Bernardo Carvalho, João Gilberto Noll, and Wilson Bueno to reveal representations of the human experience that unsettle conventionally understood links between locality and geographical place. The book raises vital considerations for understanding the region’s transition into the twenty-first century, and for evaluating Latin American authors’ representations of everyday place and modes of belonging.

Book International Handbook of Research on Environmental Education

Download or read book International Handbook of Research on Environmental Education written by Robert B. Stevenson and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2013-05-02 with total page 578 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The environment and contested notions of sustainability are increasingly topics of public interest, political debate, and legislation across the world. Environmental education journals now publish research from a wide variety of methodological traditions that show linkages between the environment, health, development, and education. The growth in scholarship makes this an opportune time to review and synthesize the knowledge base of the environmental education (EE) field. The purpose of this 51-chapter handbook is not only to illuminate the most important concepts, findings and theories that have been developed by EE research, but also to critically examine the historical progression of the field, its current debates and controversies, what is still missing from the EE research agenda, and where that agenda might be headed. Published for the American Educational Research Association (AERA).

Book Global Coloniality of Power in Guatemala

Download or read book Global Coloniality of Power in Guatemala written by Egla Martínez Salazar and published by Lexington Books. This book was released on 2012-07-20 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this engaged critique of the geopolitics of knowledge, Egla Martínez Salazar examines the genocide and other forms of state terror such as racialized feminicide and the attack on Maya childhood, which occurred in Guatemala of the 1980s and '90s with the full support of Western colonial powers. Drawing on a careful analysis of recently declassified state documents, thematic life histories, and compelling interviews with Maya and Mestizo women and men survivors, Martinez Salazar shows how people resisting oppression were converted into the politically abject. At the center of her book is an examination of how coloniality survives colonialism—a crucial point for understanding how contemporary hegemonic practices and ideologies such as equality, democracy, human rights, peace, and citizenship are deeply contested terrains, for they create nominal equality from practical social inequality. While many in the global North continue to enjoy the benefits of this domination, millions, if not billions, in both the South and North have been persecuted, controlled, and exterminated during their struggles for a more just world.
