Although I realized that most were well acquainted with English legal terminology, I also observed that many people who came to court to represent themselves in "propria persona" didn't know or understand the correct legal terminology to be able to present their simple cases nor could they understand how to fill out the technical forms required. I am confident that this book will be a useful resource and that it can be easily used by all who want to become familiar with legal terms in English and Spanish. This book covers nine areas of law: alternative dispute resolutions, bankruptcy, business law, criminal law, family law, juvenile procedures, probate, real estate law/landlord and tenant, and wills and trusts. The terms are presented in English and Spanish. It is organized in such a manner that every term can be easily translated and understood. Each division contains the terms that are necessary for each area of law. Obviously, individuals who are already bilingual will have an advantage. Nevertheless, those who are not bilingual but who are interested in learning legal terms in Spanish or English, for one reason or another, will benefit from this book as well.

It presents a comprehensive view of divorce as a psychosocial, economic and legal phenomenon and contains a review of the research literature about divorce and its consequences for parents and children. At play here is the inculturation of the faith, which cannot be fully achieved without a process of theological assimilation of the fundamental parameters in the African life. The thesis, therefore, is not only limited to a mere description of the contemporary panorama in that respect, but attempts to offer a theological evaluation of the real expressive capacity of the title, as it has been proposed. The criterion used is therefore double: In the first place, the thesis tried to show that the human and the divine natures of Jesus Christ can be maintained in such a way that there is no rupture with the great tradition of the Christological councils. In the second place, if it is capable of responding to demands of Christology from above and from below. In all this, however, the horizon of the debate is not occidental exegetical investigation well known by the author; but from the theological ambient of sub-Saharan world. The conclusion is positive, pondering the terms involved. The work can be of great use in the christoogical endeavors of contemporary Africa, as well for those who desire to delve into it. By focusing on how all governments--democratic or not--seek to secure public support before undertaking risky moves such as starting a war, Getting to War provides a methodology for identifying a regime's intention to launch a conflict well in advance of the actual initiation. The goal here is the identification of leading indicators of war. Getting to War develops such a leading political indicator by a systematic examination of the ways in which governments influence domestic and international information flows. Regardless of the relative openness of the media system in question, we can accurately gauge the underlying intentions of those governments by a systematic analysis of opinion-leading articles in the mass media. This analysis allows us to predict both the likelihood of conflict and what form of conflict--military or diplomatic/economic--will occur. Theoretically, this book builds on a forty-year-old insight by Karl Deutsch--that all governments seek to mobilize public opinion through mass media and that careful analysis of such domestic media activity could provide an "early warning network" of international conflict.
