Cet ouvrage tend à mieux comprendre toutes les dimensions de la géographie militaire contemporaine : rapport entre la géographie et le militaire, relation entre l'environnement physique et le militaire, relation entre l'environnement humain et le militaire. Il s'adresse à un public civil comme militaire, aux étudiants de l'université comme à ceux curieux de découvrir cette autre approche du fait militaire.
