La presente aportación recopila el conocimiento existente en nuestro contexto sobre esta propuesta de mejora basada en fundamentar las prácticas educativas en evidencias. Recoge resultados de investigaciones y aportaciones teóricas internacionales y nacionales, que apoyan las reflexiones que se hacen. También, y buscando promover e impulsar este planteamiento poco conocido y desarrollado en España, propone estrategias e instrumentos para llevarlo a cabo, así como buenas prácticas identificadas en los centros educativos que lo practican. La obra, dirigida especialmente a estudiosos e investigadores, busca así difundir el planteamiento mencionado, proporcionando los marcos teóricos y prácticos que pueden apoyar su implantación y desarrollo en los centros educativos.
