No es extraño que, además, surja esta cuestión entre un grupo profesional dedicado a la formación de los diversos docentes de la Educación Física, entendiendo que hay que proporcionar al profesorado recursos formativos y metodológicos, sin los cuales la necesaria innovación educativa no se producirá. ¿Se puede enseñar la expresión corporal? ¿Cómo pasar de la expresión individual, surgida, muchas veces, de lo más profundo del yo a una cierta estructuración objetiva susceptible de ser enseñada? ¿Qué factores están implicados en dicho proceso? ¿Cómo se pasa de la experiencia empírica ya sea individual o de grupo, a una estructura académica reconocida y aceptada por la comunidad científica? Estas cuestiones, y otras como las relacionadas con los fundamentos epistemológicos y metodológicos propios de la Expresión Corporal, al ser considerada como parte del currículo de la Educación Física, son las abordadas en este trabajo colectivo que tendrá una muy buena acogida; yo así lo deseo.

Se pretende con este libro avanzar en la construcción del corpus teórico de esta disciplina, consolidando su campo teórico y enriqueciendo el práctico, lo cual supone una gran aportación para la Educación Física.
