Por la novedad que aporta la perspectiva espacial al estudio de la 1 Pe, esta obra ofrece nuevos elementos para valorar la estrategia del autor, y en particular aquellos que se enmarcan en el carácter misionero de su propuesta. El potencial que 1 Pe atribuye a la conducta creyente para crear espacios alternativos que permitan la vivencia de los valores del evangelio hace que el mensaje de la carta sea vigente en la pregunta por la transformación de la sociedad.

The Oxford Handbook of the Reception History of the Bible consciously allows for the interplay of the traditional and the new through a two-part structure. Part I comprises a set of essays surveying the outline, form, and content of twelve key biblical books that have been influential in the history of interpretation.
