Los nodos de estas redes son personas, y en la medida que cada persona pueda crecer en términos de sostenibilidad, es posible que estas redes contribuyan a la construcción de una sostenibilidad universal. Este estudio consiste en una investigación que intenta mapear las diferentes perspectivas que se pueden tener sobre la sostenibilidad, en una iniciativa de Educación para la Sostenibilidad. Esta investigación parte de un cuestionario aplicado a los profesores y los alumnos del Máster en Sostenibilidad de la Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña, generación 2012-2014, con el fin de extraer sus características generales, y así hacer una evaluación de la congruencia que hay en su sostenibilidad. Para obtener esta información se ha aplicado la Teoría Integral de Ken Wilber, presentada por Barret C. Brown en estudios aplicados a la sostenibilidad. Se ha trabajado con variables obtenidas a partir de los datos extraídos de los cuestionarios expresados tanto en los cuatro cuadrantes como en el análisis de redes. También se ha hecho un análisis de la red generada en esta investigación, a partir de sus percepciones, preferencias, y de los intereses que tienen en común. La intención de este estudio estriba en ofrecer una metodología que ayude a generar nuevas iniciativas y recursos para mejorar la educación para la sostenibilidad, y a darle una coherencia con la realidad en que se aplican estas iniciativas. También se está buscando proponer esta metodología con la idea de encontrar el equilibrio entre una visión intuitiva y una analítica de la sostenibilidad.
