Book excerpt: En mi experiencia docente, en el área del Medio Ambiente, he percibido cómo este conocimiento supone una interdisciplina en la, construcción de un pensamiento critico -espacio integral-, que deberla concluir en un saber ambiental con ética y en un planteamiento epistemológico donde se reafirmen los valores existenciales y axiológicos. En este documento se hace una revisión de los conceptos de ambiente, la problemática asociada en sus instancias social, económica, política y cultural, enfatizando en la propuesta de un paradigma macrobioético (desarrollo sostenible, globalización, ecosofía), para finalizar analizando los derroteros de la Educación Ambiental formulada tras la Declaración de Tbilisi, y llegar así a una prospección sobre la Educación Ambiental y la Bioética en Colombia: de una ética del ambiente, que no tendría sentido si no está orientada a los individuos, las sociedades y los componentes de la Naturaleza, considerada holísticamente. Una "ética del ambiente -ecoética y ¿por qué no Bioética-" no tiene sentido si no es en relación con los individuos, las personas y las sociedades que han de habitarlo, utilizarlo, gozarlo o rechazarlo, estrechamente unida con una ética orientada hacia el futuro, que pide calma, prudencia y equilibrio; es decir, lo que Jonas ha dado en llamar "El Principio de Responsabilidad", y del cual Spinoza exige que el comportamiento humano se someta al análisis de las leyes que rigen el sistema natural. Para esto, hago referencia a la red interconectada de vida, dado que, los eventos en el mundo natural están enlazados entre sí, y los seres humanos jugamos un papel fundamental en las alteraciones ambientales que puedan perturbar la efectividad de los servicios ecosistémicos -además que podemos ser perjudicados- que nos proporciona la naturaleza para el normal desarrollo de la vida. La bioética como campo de saberes y conocimientos, fue postulada con el propósito de generar estrategias que permitieran contribuir al cese del deterioro ambiental. De esta forma, se describen las características de la ética ambiental, la bioética ambiental y la bioética global, como herramientas que contribuyen a la reflexión. Se tiene en cuenta, específicamente la bioética desde el campo del medio ambiente como mecanismo clave de reflexión y herramienta para la toma de decisiones, así como para establecer una nueva relación y convivencia con los ecosistemas, en donde se instaure un equilibrio entre los sistemas naturales y sociales, teniendo en cuenta la educación ambiental como estrategia. En vista de que, la educación fomenta el pensamiento participativo, crítico y propositivo; de hecho, moviliza la participación ciudadana en la toma decisiones y en la elección de mejores representantes ante el gobierno nacional. Es por ello, que las acciones educativas son la una estrategia viable en el marco de una conservación ambiental.
