Download or read book Human Development written by Franco Imoda and published by Peeters Publishers. This book was released on 1998 with total page 424 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a magisterial treatment of the wide spectrum of psychological aspects of growing in grace as a spiritual creature, while also developing as a human being. For the author 'being human' is physical, psychological, and spiritual. The integration of all three is for him a possibility both to be desired and worked toward, not a paradox. As a teacher of teachers, Imoda has been commited to transmitting to his students a way to teach novices and laymen how growing in the love of God is a logical development from increasing the grasp of their emotional bases. For teachers this book is a 'vade mecum' which gives them a structure within which people can be encouraged to explore their emotional underpinnings, so that they may grow out of their psychological and spiritual immaturity.

Download or read book Distribution of Resources in the Nigerian Health Care System written by Anthony Okechukwu Nnadi and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2020-01-09 with total page 398 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This publication, representing the doctoral dissertation of Rev. Fr. Anthony Okechukwu Nnadi examines the healthcare system in Nigeria in the light of the Catholic social teaching. He supports that the allocation of health care resources is not only a matter of organization, but is also an ethical problem. The debacles and failure of the Nigerian health system, result from many factors including lack of will to implement the right policies on the ground, corruption among the leaders, lack of justice, lack of respect for the dignity of each human person, mismanagement, and insufficient consideration and application of ethical principles in the administration of common good, especially in the distribution of health care and social resources. For the distribution of health care resources, this doctoral dissertation suggests that priority be given to the basic health care needs of Nigerian citizens especially those who have no means of satisfying these needs themselves. In this context, the research affirms that great attention needs to be paid to ensuring that the principle of human dignity is completely respected in each and every policy in this important area. This doctoral thesis is an ethical vision of social reality in Nigeria. It proposes the person-centred Catholic principles as a possible way forward in the distribution of health care resources in Nigeria. It does not imply substituting the economic, political and health care experts in offering technical solutions in their areas of competence. The author is convinced that healthcare allocation is also an ethical issue that needs to be governed by ethical principles. The key factors for choosing this theme are based on the author’s knowledge of the deplorable condition of the health care system in Nigeria and his desire to save human lives. Rev. Fr. Anthony Okechukwu Nnadi believes that we are all stewards of human life. This implies a moral obligation to protect the dignity of the human person, which is inseparable from protecting human life.

Download or read book Anthropology of the Christian Vocation written by Luigi M. Rulla and published by Gregorian & Biblical Press. This book was released on 1986 with total page 554 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What are the psychological and social motivations that influence people to enter the priestly or religious life? Are these motivations easily changed, or do they tend to persist as they were? What dispositions help people to persevere in their vocation, or push them towards leaving? The first volume of the present study, stressing the indispensible action of God's grace, develops an anthropology of the Christian vocation, that is, a Christian vision of what the human person is and can become in answering God's call. The based in philosophical and theological anthropology of the Christian vocation, is earlier psyco-social theory of vocation are made more explicit. On these bases an anthropology of vocation is built up, which respects tradition and at the same time contains new and original ideas, like the notion of three dimensions or three kinds of habitual dispositions in the Christian person as he travels on the journey of vocation. The influence of these three dimensions on the person's ability to assimilate and internalize the value's of Christ is explored. The limits on human freedom which are to be distinguished from psychopathology are discussed.
