On analyse la notion de théorie morale en philosophie éthique et on propose une typologie des systèmes. Les entretiens réalisés d'enseignants en formation et de leurs formateurs, sont analysés par extraction des assertions fondamentales. On montre qu'ils construisent une éthique professionnelle par différenciation de leur éthique personnelle dans l'expérience de la vulnérabilité. Cette éthique résulte de la résolution de problèmes par la pratique réfléchie. Elle s'organise en systèmes cohérents : une éthique juridique, en vue de la vita studiosa, une éthique de la discussion, en vue des communautés communicationnelles, une éthique herméneutique visant l'intercompréhension. La construction de l'éthique professionnelle dépend de la qualité du projet initial et des étayages de la formation. Les enseignants se professionnalisent en construisant une éthique appliquée de l'éducation.
