Consideramos que este hábito debe basarse en el desarrollo tanto de un pensamiento creativo como de un pensamiento crítico-racional, por eso proponemos al arte y a la lectura como dos vías para potenciar esos dos tipos de pensamientos. Al potenciar tanto la creatividad a través de la interpretación de obras de arte como la racionalidad crítica a través de la lectura de textos conseguiremos ser capaces de pensar nuestros sentimientos y de sentir nuestros pensamientos. Intentaremos con todo ello desarrollar un criterio propio con el que seamos capaces de tomar nuestras propias decisiones sin dejarnos influenciar por el sistema consumista y por sus grandes beneficiados sino por nuestro propio criterio autónomo y responsable. Como, nos guste o no, tenemos que vivir en sociedad relacionándonos con los demás, el desarrollo de dicho criterio tendrá que estar orientado a la vida en sociedad. Pensamos que una buena forma de hacerlo es acercándonos un poco a la filosofía, pues no en vano cuando pensamos nuestra vida y nos preguntamos cosas al respecto lo que estamos haciendo es filosofar. De manera que esta obra está orientada a todas aquellas personas que pretendan no estar predeterminadas para elegir y decidir sus propios asuntos y que deseen manejarse con soltura y seguridad en la sociedad del conocimiento y la sabiduría.

Biodiversity is spread unequally over the world: in fact, the main share of biological resources worldwide is harboured predominantly by the so-called developing countries in the tropics and sub tropics. Therefore, Biodiversity - A Challenge for Development Research and Policy was chosen as the title for an international conference which was held in Bonn in 1997 as one of the first major events organized by the then newly established North-South Centre for Development Research (ZEF) at Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universitat Bonn (Germany). Since the ZEF, founded by the Senate of the University of Bonn in 1995, has played a central role in turning Bonn into a centre for international cooperation and North-South dialogue. The Centre is a product of the Bonn Berlin agreement of July 1994 which was adopted to offset the effects caused by the Parliament and much of the Government moving to Berlin. It fits in well with the double strategy to strengthen Bonn's position as an interna tional science arena and as an eminent place for development policy and the national and supranational agencies dealing with this issue.

Through interactive media and just being themselves, the Kardashians renovate banal status updates and hackneyed reality television into character-constructing building blocks of brand, celebrity, and profits.
