Book l ments de thermodynamique technique

Download or read book l ments de thermodynamique technique written by Joseph Martin and published by Presses universitaires de Louvain. This book was released on 2014-09-11 with total page 352 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Thermodynamique optimale en dimensions physiques finies written by FEIDT Michel and published by Lavoisier. This book was released on 2013-06-01 with total page 445 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Elements of Chemistry written by Antoine Lavoisier and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2018-01-15 with total page 594 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Antoine-Laurent de Lavoisier (Antoine Lavoisier after the French Revolution; August 26, 1743 - May 8, 1794) was a French nobleman and chemist who was central to the 18th-century chemical revolution and who had a large influence on both the history of chemistry and the history of biology. He is widely considered in popular literature as the "father of modern chemistry." The 1789 publication of Elements of Chemistry (Trait lmentaire de chimie) became the first modern textbook on chemistry and represented Lavoisier's major contribution to the field. Within this work, Lavoisier introduced a new nomenclature, proposed an oxygen theory that dismantled the theory of phlogiston, presented a clear statement of the law of conservation of mass, clarified the concept of an element as a substance that could not be broken down by any known physical process, and described the method whereby compounds are formed from elements.

Book Chemical Thermodynamics

Download or read book Chemical Thermodynamics written by J. Rouquerol and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2013-10-22 with total page 94 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Chemical Thermodynamics–4 presents the application of experimental methods of chemical thermodynamics. This book discusses the three properties of biological molecules, namely, colossal dimension, exclusive orderliness, and capability to be in different states or conformations depending on conditions. Organized into eight chapters, this book begins with an overview of the trends in thermochemistry that involve complex reaction systems and product mixtures. This text then discusses the problems relating to the standard state of solids and illustrates the utilization of enthalpy-of-mixing-data. Other chapters consider the available heat capacity results in the liquid–gas. This book discusses as well the high-temperature measurement of thermodynamic data for substances of metallurgical interest. The final chapter deals with the important advances in the experimental methods of heat-capacity measurements, including laser-flash calorimetry and the high-resolution heat-capacity calorimeter. This book is a valuable resource for chemists, physical chemists, thermochemists, thermophysicists, nuclear engineers, and research workers.

Book Flinovia Flow Induced Noise and Vibration Issues and Aspects

Download or read book Flinovia Flow Induced Noise and Vibration Issues and Aspects written by Elena Ciappi and published by Springer. This book was released on 2014-12-09 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Flow induced vibration and noise (FIVN) remains a critical research topic. Even after over 50 years of intensive research, accurate and cost-effective FIVN simulation and measurement techniques remain elusive. This book gathers the latest research from some of the most prominent experts in the field. It describes methods for characterizing wall pressure fluctuations, including subsonic and supersonic turbulent boundary layer flows over smooth and rough surfaces using computational methods like Large Eddy Simulation; for inferring wall pressure fluctuations using inverse techniques based on panel vibrations or holographic pressure sensor arrays; for calculating the resulting structural vibrations and radiated sound using traditional finite element methods, as well as advanced methods like Energy Finite Elements; for using scaling approaches to universally collapse flow-excited vibration and noise spectra; and for computing time histories of structural response, including alternating stresses. This book presents the proceedings of the First International Workshop on Flow Induced Noise and Vibration (FLINOVIA), which was held in Rome, Italy, in November 2013. The authors’ backgrounds represent a mix of academia, government, and industry, and several papers include applications to important problems for underwater vehicles, aerospace structures and commercial transportation. The book offers a valuable reference guide for all those working in the area of flow-induced vibration and noise.
