Car, après les classes de grammaire, il est impossible de faire apprendre aux élèves des règles par coeur et de façon suivie; mais il est très possible, l'expérience le preuve, de leur imposer chaque semaine les règles qui sont nécessaires pour l'intelligence de la version hebdomadaire. Actuellement, s'ils font leurs versions sans aide grammaticale, c'est qu'ils ne savent pas Où chercher dans la Grammaire. Le renvoi gramma tical les guide. Après une cinquantaine de versions, l'élève aura à peu près revu toutes ses règles, apprenant la grammaire par la langue. Mais jus que là, les renvois lui auront appris à faire une version par une méthode rationnelle. C'est un défaut de l'enseignement qu'on apprenne aux élèves à corriger, non à attaquer un devoir. Nous les dirigeons après l'effort; il faudrait diriger l'effort lui mème ceci est l'inverse des livres-corrigés, c'est un livre-guide.
