Book excerpt: Contexte et objectif : En France, la loi du 4 juillet 2001, les décrets du 3 mai 2002, du 1er juillet 2004 et la circulaire du 26 novembre 2004 permettent aux médecins libéraux de proposer à leurs patientes l’interruption volontaire de grossesse (IVG) médicamenteuse à leur cabinet, sous certaines conditions. Nous avons étudié sa mise en place. Méthode : Notre enquête a été menée en 2006 auprès de 247 services pratiquant des IVG de 5 régions choisies : la Corse, les départements d’outre-mer, l’Ile-de-France, le Languedoc-Roussillon et la Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. Nous avons réalisé une analyse descriptive des données quantitatives et une analyse de contenu des données qualitatives recueillies par région et par type de services. Nous avons identifié 3 types de centres. Nous les avons comparés par le test du Chi 2 et le test t de Student. Résultats et discussion : 35 services ont été inclus : des services de gynécologie des secteurs hospitaliers public (47.9%) et privé (25.7%), des centres autonomes (25.7%) et des centres de planification (5.7%). Les cinq régions étaient représentées. Les services se répartissaient en centres référents (44.1%), centres non référents souhaitant le devenir (23.5%) et ceux ne le souhaitant pas (32.4%). La faible puissance de notre enquête ne nous a pas permis de généraliser nos résultats. Cependant, nous avons pu comprendre l’importance de la mise en place de l’IVG médicamenteuse en ville. Nous avons identifié les structures réalisant des IVG les plus favorables à cette mise en place, ainsi que les difficultés et les atouts de cette prise en charge. Conclusion : En 2006, l’IVG médicamenteuse en ville était une avancée dans la prise en charge de l’IVG en termes d’accessibilité pour les patientes et d’organisation par la création d’un réseau de soins entre la ville et l’hôpital

Koreans are the most entrepreneurial of America's new immigrants. By the mid-1970s Americans had already become aware that Korean immigrants were opening, buying, and operating numerous business enterprises in major cities.
