Download or read book La question interculturelle dans le travail social written by Gilles Verbunt and published by Editions La Découverte. This book was released on 2009 with total page 230 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Achieving Social Cohesion in a Multicultural Europe

Download or read book Achieving Social Cohesion in a Multicultural Europe written by Council of Europe and published by Council of Europe. This book was released on 2006-01-01 with total page 432 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Far from considering the integration problems faced by migrants to be the result of alleged «cultural incompatibility, the articles and conversations in this volume reflect on the combined effects of exclusion stemming from social policy and policy on immigration, employment and nationality. Furthermore, as «intercultural competencies developed in certain hospitals and schools have clearly shown, there are other, much more effective strategies for treating differences in a favourable light which make social rights more accessible to all. These alternative approaches can effectively help to foster social cohesion only if migrants themselves are committed to them, in particular as recognised political players in the European public arena.

Book L imaginaire Du D moniaque Dans la Septante

Download or read book L imaginaire Du D moniaque Dans la Septante written by Anna Angelini and published by Supplements to the Journal for. This book was released on 2021 with total page 408 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book offers a thorough analysis of demons in the Hebrew Bible and Septuagint in the wider context of the ancient Near East and the Greek world. Taking a fresh and innovative angle of enquiry, Anna Angelini investigates continuities and changes in the representation of divine powers in Hellenistic Judaism, thereby revealing the role of the Greek translation of the Bible in shaping ancient demonology, angelology, and pneumatology. Combining philological and semantic analyses with a historical approach and anthropological insights, the author both develops a new method for analyzing religious categories within biblical traditions and sheds new light on the importance of the Septuagint for the history of ancient Judaism.

Book Service User Involvement in Social Work Education

Download or read book Service User Involvement in Social Work Education written by Hugh McLaughlin and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2019-10-23 with total page 346 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In 2006, Social Work Education produced the first special edition (vol. 25, no. 4) on service user and carer involvement in social work education, with all of the articles coming from the United Kingdom. In 2015, a mixed group of service users and social work academics wondered how, and if, the field had moved on since 2006. This publication confirms that it has. Since 2006, service user and carer involvement in social work education has become embedded internationally – this book contains contributions from Australia, Israel, Italy, Norway, Slovenia, the Republic of Ireland and Sweden, as well as all four nations of the United Kingdom. Many of the contributions are jointly written with service users and carers, highlighting the innovative practices which challenge social work academics, students, social workers and managers to think how we can all benefit from learning with, and from, service users and carers. This book ably demonstrates that service users and carers can be effectively involved in social work curriculum planning, delivery, assessment and management. This is not to say that these issues are not without their tension, challenges or struggles, but working with these helps to ensure that the social workers and managers of the future can practice more effectively, meeting service user and carer priorities and needs. The chapters in this book were originally published as a double special issue of Social Work Education.

Book Migration Multilingualism and Education

Download or read book Migration Multilingualism and Education written by Latisha Mary and published by Multilingual Matters Limited. This book was released on 2021 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores the question of how equitable and inclusive education can be implemented in heterogeneous classes where learners' languages and cultures reflect the social reality of mass migration and everyday plurilingualism. The book brings together researchers and practitioners working in inclusive teaching and learning in a variety of migration contexts from pre-school to university. The book opens with an exploration of the relationship between language ideologies and policies with respect to the inclusion of learners for whom the language of education is not the language spoken in the home. The following section focuses on innovative pedagogical practices which allow migrants to be socially, culturally and institutionally included at school and at university while using their plurilingual competences as resources for learning/teaching and allowing them to fully realise their potential.
