Book Humanisme et intelligence artificielle

Download or read book Humanisme et intelligence artificielle written by Boris Barraud and published by Le Droit aujourd'hui. This book was released on 2022 with total page 649 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Vers une r gulation des syst mes d IA written by Issac Ben-Israel and published by . This book was released on 2020 with total page 203 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Avoirs d mat rialis s et ex cution forc e Digital Assets and Enforcement

Download or read book Avoirs d mat rialis s et ex cution forc e Digital Assets and Enforcement written by Marc Schmitz and published by Bruylant. This book was released on 2019-12-10 with total page 218 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: On 17 December 2009, the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice of the Council of Europe adopted the Guidelines for a better implementation of the existing recommendation of the Council of Europe on enforcement. These principles aim to guarantee to all the access to an enforcement agent and a quality enforcement in the respect of the fundamental rights of the litigants. In the first part of the book, reference is made to the genesis of the CEPEJ Guidelines on Enforcement as well as to its state of application in the various Council of Europe Member States. The second part of the book deals with the problem of the evolution of technologies and aims to question how artificial intelligence can be put at the service of enforcement. In this respect, the analysis focuses on the importance of both electronic access to information and access to dematerialised information, to highlight the imperative need for a procedure for seizure of dematerialised assets and to consider drafting the a crypto-currency attachment procedure.

Book Structural Principles in EU External Relations Law

Download or read book Structural Principles in EU External Relations Law written by Marise Cremona and published by Bloomsbury Publishing. This book was released on 2018-02-22 with total page 335 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The law and practice of EU external relations is governed not only by general objectives (Articles 3(5) and 21 TEU and Article 205 TFEU) and values (Article 2 TEU) but also by a set of principles found in the Treaties and developed by the Court of Justice, which structure the system, functioning and exercise of EU external competences. This book identifies a set of 'structural principles' as a legal norm-category governing EU external relations; it explores the scope, content and function of those principles that may be categorised as structural. With an ambitious scope, and a stellar line-up of experts in the field, the collection offers a truly innovative perspective on the role of law in EU external relations.

Book Ideology in the Supreme Court

Download or read book Ideology in the Supreme Court written by Lawrence Baum and published by Princeton University Press. This book was released on 2017-05-16 with total page 283 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ideology in the Supreme Court is the first book to analyze the process by which the ideological stances of U.S. Supreme Court justices translate into the positions they take on the issues that the Court addresses. Eminent Supreme Court scholar Lawrence Baum argues that the links between ideology and issues are not simply a matter of reasoning logically from general premises. Rather, they reflect the development of shared understandings among political elites, including Supreme Court justices. And broad values about matters such as equality are not the only source of these understandings. Another potentially important source is the justices' attitudes about social or political groups, such as the business community and the Republican and Democratic parties. The book probes these sources by analyzing three issues on which the relative positions of liberal and conservative justices changed between 1910 and 2013: freedom of expression, criminal justice, and government "takings" of property. Analyzing the Court's decisions and other developments during that period, Baum finds that the values underlying liberalism and conservatism help to explain these changes, but that justices' attitudes toward social and political groups also played a powerful role. Providing a new perspective on how ideology functions in Supreme Court decision making, Ideology in the Supreme Court has important implications for how we think about the Court and its justices.

Download or read book The Trace Odyssey 1 written by Beatrice Galinon-Melenec and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2021-04-01 with total page 210 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Whether it is to look to the past in search of their origins, analyze their present activity, particularly digital, or to think about the effects of their actions on the future, 21st century humans regularly question their traces. Collective questions and technical progress offer new resources which, in turn, raise the problems of traces. In order to reveal the difficulties posed by the unanalyzed trace, this book proposes a journey through different contexts. Along the way, intellectuals (including Bateson, Barthes, Bourdieu, Derrida, Goffman, Peirce, Ricoeur, Varela, Thompson, Watsuji and Watzlawick) and trace professionals (such as police officers or computer scientists) shed light on the background to this veritable odyssey. This didactic book presents a contemporary exploration of the fundamental nature of the trace via the new French paradigm of the Ichnos-Anthropos (Homme-trace) and its corollary, the corps-trace.

Book Digital Transformation and Public Policies

Download or read book Digital Transformation and Public Policies written by Valerie Revest and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2023-07-12 with total page 212 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The extent of digitalization and the use of digital tools no longer need to be demonstrated. While companies have been integrating the challenges of such a transformation for more than 20 years, the public sector is lagging behind. Digital Transformation and Public Policies studies the mechanisms of the digital transformation of public organizations. It explores how this new deal, driven mainly by platforms, resonates with new public policies and how digital technology is redrawing the relationship between the governors and the governed. This book, the result of transdisciplinary collaboration between researchers, aims to answer these questions by focusing on several cases: public innovation policies, health data and social policies with fiscal microsimulation devices.

Book The Social Power of Algorithms

Download or read book The Social Power of Algorithms written by David Beer and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2019-10-23 with total page 329 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The vast circulations of mobile devices, sensors and data mean that the social world is now defined by a complex interweaving of human and machine agency. Key to this is the growing power of algorithms – the decision-making parts of code – in our software dense and data rich environments. Algorithms can shape how we are retreated, what we know, who we connect with and what we encounter, and they present us with some important questions about how society operates and how we understand it. This book offers a series of concepts, approaches and ideas for understanding the relations between algorithms and power. Each chapter provides a unique perspective on the integration of algorithms into the social world. As such, this book directly tackles some of the most important questions facing the social sciences today. This book was originally published as a special issue of Information, Communication & Society.
