Book excerpt: L’oggetto di studio di questo lavoro è: “Fra storia e teologia: la figura del Cristo nel Nuovo Testamento”. Nel capitolo I esporrò in primo luogo l’evoluzione degli studi in particolare quelli attuali sul Gesù storico, sottolineando la loro utilità riguardo alla credibilità del Cristo. Si vuole far capire come gli studi storici e teologici sul Cristo siano ugualmente importanti per capire la figura del Cristo in tutta la sua complessità e come siano entrambi indispensabili a mostrare la credibilità della Sua divino-umanità come fondamento della fede e della speranza cristiana. Nella seconda parte del capitolo, esporrò il discorso sulla speranza cristiana, focalizzando l’attenzione su come sia importante il fatto che la speranza cristiana si fondi sulla divino-umanità del Cristo che è descritta nel NT in particolare dall’ analisi dei titoli cristologici. Il tentativo prefissato è quello di far comprendere alla società secolarizzata come il Signore Gesù è il soggetto, la persona a cui orientare l’intera esistenza poiché Egli è presenza di liberazione e di salvezza per ognuno che lo accoglie nella propria vita. Nel II capitolo esporrò e approfondirò alcuni dei tanti titoli cristologici presenti nel NT, tale analisi sarà fatta sia a livello teologico che esegetico, mostrando il loro radicamento nella tradizione vetero testamentaria, per dimostrare che essi sono tutti finalizzati a mostrare la divino-umanità di Gesù e come Lui sia il vero e definitivo Messia preannunciato dalle antiche scritture. Nel III capitolo cercherò di mostrare come nei quattro vangeli ci sia il chiaro intento di tracciare, in primo luogo, un ritratto storico coerente e veritiero di Gesù e come sia proprio su questa base storica che si innestano i concetti teologici che vanno a spiegare il senso del personaggio sottolineando come queste istanze teologiche non siano mai scisse dalla storia reale di Gesù ma si intrecciano perfettamente con essa al fine di mostrare come Gesù sia, realmente ed inscindibilmente, sia uomo (storia) che Dio (teologia) poichè è proprio in questo connubio che risiede la salvezza del genere umano.
