Le praticien en tant qu'acteur de santé, se doit de savoir gérer ces accidents ainsi que de les prévenir afin d'obtenir une anesthésie d'efficacité optimale tout en palliant à ces risques anesthésiques.

Ils ont amené au développement dans notre spécialité de certaines techniques telles que le MEOPA, récemment arrivé dans les cabinets dentaires, ou d'autres issues de la « médecine parallèle » comme l'hypnose ou l'acupuncture.
