Un giorno però, i bucanieri e i filibustieri riescono a far ritorno all'isola.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Cultural Association ""From Ischia The Art - DILA"" GAME OF LOVE IN SERMONETA by ANGELA MARIA TIBERI Vice President of the Association New Cenacle of Poetry of ApriliaPREFACE Entering in the world of the writer Angela Maria Tiberi and how to desecrate a tabernacle and lay bare her thoughts, her heart, her soul. Her world is inner made of dreamed and realistic relationships where passion and love intertwine to sciorination a great connection from she is lived and then lost in the street we do not know how and why. Her prose and her poems gather in a whirlwind of expressive desires that can never be reached for a great, timeless but unambiguous love. The poetics of Angela Maria Tiberi is not recommended to all those who have cold hearts escaped the sense of love. Failing to make it their own, they would think, foolishly, that these are utopian transpositions in verses of obsolete ideals, without realizing that the real ""old"" are only those who no longer know how to believe in love. Book excerpt: As a key figure in baroque Rome, Sforza Pallavicino embodies many of the apparent tensions and contradictions of his era: a man of the church deeply involved in the new science, a nobleman and courtier drawn to ascetism and theology, a controversial polemicist involved in poetry and the arts. This volume collects essays by specialists in the fields and disciplines that cover Pallavicino’s activities as a scholar, author and Jesuit, and situate him within the Roman cultural, political and social elite of his times. Through the figure of Pallavicino, an image of baroque Rome emerges that challenges historical periodisations and disciplinary boundaries. Contributors: Silvia Apollonio, Stefan Bauer, Eraldo Bellini, Chiara Catalano, Maarten Delbeke, Maria Pia Donato, Federica Favino, Irene Fosi, Sven K. Knebel, Alessandro Metlica, Anselm Ramelow, Pietro Giulio Riga, and Jon R. Snyder.

Book The Radical Machiavelli

Download or read book The Radical Machiavelli written by and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2015-08-24 with total page 484 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In The Radical Machiavelli: Politics, Philosophy and Language, some of the finest Machiavellian scholars explore the Florentine’s thought five hundred years after the composition of his masterpiece, The Prince. Their analysis, however, goes past The Prince, extending to Machiavelli’s entire corpus and shining new light on his political, historical, and military works, with a special focus on their heritage in modern Marxist thought, the arena in which they reverberate most profoundly and originally. Rather than a neutral, comprehensive, and safe interpretation, this book offers a partial and even partisan reading of Machiavelli, the 16th-century thinker who continues to divide scholars and interpreters, forcing them to confront their responsibility as contemporary thinkers in a global society where Machiavelli's ideas and the issues they address still matter. Contributors are: Etienne Balibar, Banu Bargu, Jérémie Barthas, Thomas Berns, Alison Brown, Filippo Del Lucchese, Romain Descendre, Jean-Louis Fournel, Fabio Frosini, Giorgio Inglese, Mikko Lahtinen, Jacques Lezra, John P.
