Book excerpt: Our Hindustan or say India is in eclipse we do not know what will happen to it in future if the birth rate of minorities is getting increased 9% to 15% where as Hindu Population has come down from 93% to 85% since Independence. Hence I call the present generation or youth to adapt a policy of enforcement of Uniform Law and order in the wake call our country as Hindustan. Minority people should not be given any weight in field of administration as is done to Hindus in Pakistan or other Muslim countries. Even China has recently banned long beards and veil for Muslim woman ,Madarasas (Muslim Institutions) and conversion. Those (non-Hindus) who want to continue to stay in India/Hindustan should adopt HINDUNESS or else ask them to leave the country and settle in Muslim countries. They should adopt Hindu Nationalism. A new syllabus on Nationalism should be curriculum in Educational System "Too much tolerance and wooing Muslims for the sake of Vote Bank needs ban and for this electioneering system should be amended"

Book The East India Company at Home 1757 1857

Download or read book The East India Company at Home 1757 1857 written by Margot Finn and published by UCL Press. This book was released on 2018-02-15 with total page 540 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The East India Company at Home, 1757–1857 explores how empire in Asia shaped British country houses, their interiors and the lives of their residents. It includes chapters from researchers based in a wide range of settings such as archives and libraries, museums, heritage organisations, the community of family historians and universities. It moves beyond conventional academic narratives and makes an important contribution to ongoing debates around how empire impacted Britain. The volume focuses on the propertied families of the East India Company at the height of Company rule. From the Battle of Plassey in 1757 to the outbreak of the Indian Uprising in 1857, objects, people and wealth flowed to Britain from Asia. As men in Company service increasingly shifted their activities from trade to military expansion and political administration, a new population of civil servants, army officers, surveyors and surgeons journeyed to India to make their fortunes. These Company men and their families acquired wealth, tastes and identities in India, which travelled home with them to Britain. Their stories, the biographies of their Indian possessions and the narratives of the stately homes in Britain that came to house them, frame our explorations of imperial culture and its British legacies.

Book The India I Know and of Hinduism

Download or read book The India I Know and of Hinduism written by Indira G and published by Partridge Publishing. This book was released on 2018-01-08 with total page 277 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Liberals in India appear to think that it is their birth right to bash the Hindus. Liberalism only entails criticising the majorities not to touch minorities remotely. It goes without saying that Indian minorities, most of them, were Hindus once upon a timeOnce a Hindu gets converted, he becomes a minority. Whatever special privileges the minorities have will apply to him! The minorities have their personal laws, educational institutions, rights to promote, and propagate their religion, to uplift their language, to keep up their identity. The other countries recognise minorities on ethnicity. Attacking majorities in India is easier than anywhere in the world. For the successive governments of the Congress have weakened and made them emasculated and incapable of intellectually defending themselves. The baiting of Hindu majorities of India is continually being done in other western countries also by our Indian diehard leftists, extreme secularists, and the academic fringe to the amusement of the intellectuals of those countries. The type of calumny they have been doing against Hindus, no civilized person on earth could ever do. About them, the less said, the better! However, in India Hinduism still persists in its pristine form for two reasons. One, basically Indians are religious, and the other, an organisation like the RSS works for the cause. There is one cautionsome media groups have been consistently trying to bring all and sundry so-called Hindu groups into one umbrella and whatever havoc they cause on Hindu name, they are covering the rot with a nomenclature of Hindu or saffron terror. They are promoting a dubious brand name, in all these cases. In any case, the miscreants should be booked as per the law of the land and punished. When terrorism has no religion, so also the criminality.

Download or read book 21 Things You May Not Know about the Indian Act written by Bob Joseph and published by Indigenous Relations Press. This book was released on 2018-04-10 with total page 160 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Based on a viral article, 21 Things You May Not Know About the Indian Act is the essential guide to understanding the legal document and its repercussion on generations of Indigenous Peoples, written by a leading cultural sensitivity trainer.Since its creation in 1876, the Indian Act has shaped, controlled, and constrained the lives and opportunities of Indigenous Peoples, and is at the root of many enduring stereotypes. Bob Joseph's book comes at a key time in the reconciliation process, when awareness from both Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities is at a crescendo. Joseph explains how Indigenous Peoples can step out from under the Indian Act and return to self-government, self-determination, and self-reliance--and why doing so would result in a better country for every Canadian. He dissects the complex issues around truth and reconciliation, and clearly demonstrates why learning about the Indian Act's cruel, enduring legacy is essential for the country to move toward true reconciliation.
