He later founded and began to establish the Miracle Temple of Deliverance Ministries in Columbia, TN. The first place of worship for the M.T.D. ministry was in the conference room of one of the local hotels. The very next year, the congregation moved to another location to accommodate church growth and three years later the congregation moved again. Pastor Davis along with the Miracle Temple of Deliverance congregation made a fourth move in 2007 into their new place of worship, after a seven year long building project. He also retired from his automotive job during this time and has been Pastoring the Miracle Temple Congregation for over 19 years. Pastor Davis has been married to his lovely wife Sharon for almost 34 years. They have one daughter, Paris Anne.

Based on qualitative data gathered from three diverse evangelical churches it compares the reading priorities, ordinary hermeneutics, and theological concerns of young adults. Presenting age-related focus groups with challenging biblical narratives, the study compares strategies for negotiating the texts based on age, gender, and churchmanship. It provides a unique insight into the realities of Bible reading and the faith of "Generation Y" and gives food for thought not only to those with scholarly interests, but also those with a pastoral concern to shape and sustain the Christian faith of young adults in Britain and beyond.

In a poll published in January 2012, nearly 70% of evangelical churches professed adesire to be racially and culturally diverse. Currently, only around 8% of them have achieved this multiracial status. To an unprecedented degree, evangelical churches in the United States are trying to overcome the deep racial divides that persist in their congregations. Not surprisingly, many of these evangelicals have turned to DBF for solutions. The essays in Christians and the Color Line complicate the researchfindings of Emerson and Smith's study and explore new areas of research that have opened in the years since DBF's publication. The book is split into two sections. The chapters in the first section consider the history of American evangelicalism and race as portrayed in DBF. This leads to another visitor who is none other than Joan of Arc, accompanied by her "Voices". Though her arrival is at first greeted by a shotgun blast, Abe and Cohn are eventually charmed by the saint, and she gets them to reconsider many of their preconceived ideas to such an extent that Abe and Cohn eventually switch positions: Abe becomes the skeptical realist and Cohn becomes the true believer. She calls Abe and Cohn to join her in a space ship on a pilgrimage to Heaven -- before the coming holocaust. Cohn is willing to go along, but Abe refuses, so Joan remains and sets up housekeeping in the cabin. When Joan accidentally cuts her finger in the kitchen, she faints and dies, which gets her to heaven without the space ship. Abe and Cohn are left behind to argue with Joan's spiritual Voices.
