Sementara itu, Isra’ dan Mi’raj disebut sebagai mu’jizat terbesar karena dengan peristiwa ini menjadi lemah pulalah kemampuan semua makhluk, di mana semua manusia hingga para malaikatpun tidak akan mampu melakukan perjalanan seperti yang dilakukan Nabi Muhammad saw dalam peristiwa Isra’ dan Mi’raj tersebut. Oleh karena itulah, Isra’ dan Mi’raj sekalipun satu peristiwa yang terjadi dalam waktu bersamaan, namun ceritanya dikisahkan Allah swt di dalam al-Qur’an pada dua surat yang berbeda. Isra’ yakni perjalanan Nabi Muhammad saw di malam hari dalam masjid al-Haram di Makkah menunju masjid al-Aqsha di Palestina diceritakan Allah swt dalam surat al-Isra’ [17]: 1. Sedangkan, Mi’raj, yakni naiknya Nabi Muhammad saw menuju langit ke tujuh terus ke Sidratul Muntaha hingga ke ‘Arasy bertemu Tuhan, kisahnya disebutkan dalam surat al-Najm [53]: 13-18. Penyebutan kisah Isra’ dan Mi’raj dalam dua surat yang berbeda memberi kesan bahwa Isra’ dan Mi’raj sejatinya adalah dua mu’jizat yang berbeda. Isra’ adalah mu’jizat bagi penduduk bumi, artinya tidak akan ada manusia yang mampu melakukan perjalanan dari Makkah ke Pelastina dan kembali lagi ke Makkah secepat yang pernah dilakukan nabi Muhammad saw dalam perjalanan Isra’ tersebut. Sementara, Mi’raj adalah mu’jizat bagi semua penduduk langit, artinya jangankan manusia dan jin, para malaikat sekalipun hingga malaikat Jibril yang merupakan pimpinan para malaikat dan malaikat yang paling mulia juga tetap tidak akan mampu melakukan perjalan seperti yang dilakukan Nabi Muhammad saw dalam peristiwa Mi’raj tersebut. Bukankah disebutkan dalam banyak sumber bahwa Jibril hanya bisa menemani nabi Muhammad saw dalam perjanan Mi’raj tersebut sampai Sidratul Muntaha saja. Sementara perjalanan menunju ‘Arasy untuk menemui Tuhan, maka Jibril tidak mampu lagi mengikutinya. Buku ini berupaya mengungkap secara lebih detail kisah perjalanan Nabi Muhammad saw yang sangat menakjubkan ini dengan menggalinya dari beberapa sumber yang otoritatif. Paparan kisah perjalanan Isra’ dan Mi’raj ini tentulah bukan dongeng sebelum tidur atau hasil dari imajinasi liar penulis. Akan tetapi, semuanya adalah bersumber dari riwayat yang bisa dipertanggung-jawabkan secara akademis. Semoga kehadiran buku ini bisa memberi manfaat kepada para pembaca, karena buku ini tidak hanya sekedar paparan kisah, namun juga dilengkapi dengan palajaran dan i’tibar untuk diterapakan dalam kehidupan.

Dihubungkannya kisah Isra dengan riwayat Bani Israel pada surah ini, memberikan peringatan bahwa umat Islam akan mengalami keruntuhan, sebagaimana halnya Bani Israel, apabila mereka juga meninggalkan ajaran-ajaran agamanya. The Night Journey (al-isra) is the 17th chapter (surah) of the Quran, with 111 verses (ayah). It is about Isra and the Children of Israel. This sura is part of a series Al-Musabbihat surahs because it begins with the glorification of Allah. Regarding the timing and contextual background of the supposed revelation (asbāb al-nuzūl), it is an earlier "Meccan surah", which means it is believed to have been revealed in Mecca, instead of later in Medina. This surah takes its name from the first verse, which tells the event of the Isra, the transportation of Muhammad during the night from the Great Mosque of Mecca to what is referred to as "the farthest Mosque".

Surah Yusuf (Prophet Yusuf ) is the 12th sura (chapter) of the Quran. It is said to have been revealed in a single sitting, being unique in this respect. The text narrates the story of Yusuf (the biblical Joseph). While other surahs tend to jump between topics, this sura is special in sticking to its central theme throughout, telling a coherent story in chronological order. There is no confirmed time when surat Yusuf was revealed, but it is estimated to be either in the 10th or 11th year of dawah. In other words, it is known to have been revealed 2 or 3 years before the hijrah (Migration) from Makkah to Madina which is close to the end of the Makkan era and Makkan journey. This Sura was revealed after a year the scholars of seerah call 'am al huzun' (the year of Sorrow or Despair). This year was a sad and depressing time for Prophet Mohammad SAW.
