Download or read book Karma written by Sadhguru and published by Harmony. This book was released on 2021-04-27 with total page 227 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: NEW YORK TIMES, USA TODAY, and PUBLISHERS WEEKLY BESTSELLER “Full of valuable insights to guide you.”—WILL SMITH “Thoughtful and life-affirming . . . a must-read.”—TONY ROBBINS “This book will put you back in charge of your own life.”—TOM BRADY A new perspective on the overused and misunderstood concept of “karma” that offers the key to happiness and enlightenment, from the world-renowned spiritual master Sadhguru. What is karma? Most people understand karma as a balance sheet of good and bad deeds, virtues and sins. The mechanism that decrees that we cannot evade the consequences of our own actions. In reality, karma has nothing to do with reward and punishment. Karma simply means action: your action, your responsibility. It isn’t some external system of crime and punishment, but an internal cycle generated by you. Accumulation of karma is determined only by your intention and the way you respond to what is happening to you. Over time, it’s possible to become ensnared by your own unconscious patterns of behavior. In Karma, Sadhguru seeks to put you back in the driver’s seat, turning you from a terror-struck passenger to a confident driver navigating the course of your own destiny. By living consciously and fully inhabiting each moment, you can free yourself from the cycle. Karma is an exploration and a manual, restoring our understanding of karma to its original potential for freedom and empowerment instead of a source of entanglement. Through Sadhguru’s teachings, you will learn how to live intelligently and joyfully in a challenging world.
Download or read book The Kama Sutra of Vatsyayana written by Mallanaga Vatsyayana and published by . This book was released on 2021-04-15 with total page 302 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Kama Sutra of Vatsyayana by Vatsyayana The Kama Sutra is an ancient Indian Hindu text widely considered to be the standard work on human sexual behavior in Sanskrit literature written by Vātsyāyana. A portion of the work consists of practical advice on sexual intercourse. It is largely in prose, with many inserted anustubh poetry verses. "Kāma" which is one of the four goals of Hindu life, means desire including sexual desire the latter being the subject of the textbook, and "sūtra" literally means a thread or line that holds things together, and more metaphorically refers to an aphorism or a collection of such aphorisms in the form of a manual. Contrary to popular perception, especially in the western world, the Kama Sutra is not exclusively a sex manual; it presents itself as a guide to a virtuous and gracious living that discusses the nature of love, family life, and other aspects pertaining to pleasure-oriented faculties of human life. The Kama Sutra does reveal that Vatsyayana lived the life of a religious student, likely in Benares, and spent his time engaged in the contemplation of the highest Deity. Scholars believe that the tone Vatsyayana takes towards youth in the Kama Sutra suggests that he likely spent many years studying religion before beginning his life's work compiling the wisdom of the sages. Indeed, Vatsyayana was less of a groundbreaking philosopher and apparently more of a diligent academician. Besides transcribing the Kama Sutra more than 300 years after the Shastras had already been passed down, he also transcribed the Nyaya Sutras, an ancient Indian text of philosophy that was composed by the buddha Gotama in the 2nd century B.C. Whereas the Kama Sutra tackles kama (or sensual pleasures), the Nyaya Sutra delineates paths for achieving moksha, or spiritual liberation from the cycle of birth and death.

Download or read book Sankara on the Yoga Sutras written by Trevor Leggett and published by Motilal Banarsidass. This book was released on 2017-01-01 with total page 436 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a complete English translation of a highly significant Sanskrit sub-commentary vivarana purporting to be by Sankara, on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. The vivarana is written with great originality. The long commentary on God completely jettisons the narrow sutra definition in favour of a supreme Creator, as evidenced by many ingenious arguments on the lines of the present-day cosmological anthropic principle. The doctrine that the future already exists, and that time is purely relative, anticipate the Einstein era.

Download or read book Dream Sutra written by Hingori and published by Hingori Sutras C/0 Pali Hills Tourist Hotel Pvt.Ltd.. This book was released on 2017-09-06 with total page 214 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Dream Sutra – Unveiling Hidden Realms chronicles the experiences of many people who were helped and healed, guided and communicated with, by the dreamer within themselves – their spirit or astral body. The unifying thread between these people was that they had a common Guru – someone who could travel out-of-body at will, heal people and even provide insights into their future. The greatest attribute of their Guru was that he also moulded his disciples into Gurus, thereby attaining a universal status of a Mahaguru, i.e. a teacher of Gurus. The fact that even 25 years after his death, this Mahaguru still communicates with and guides his devotees and disciples via their dreams, lends itself to deepening our exploration of the spiritual realms as well as of after-death existence. The anecdotal content dotting this book’s landscape enables you to recognize the power of the dream language so that the metaphorical leads into the metaphysical. The question is – are you ready to believe in the power of dreams?
