In the shelter they insisted that she had to go to the court to get restraining order for her safety. In that process, her children were taken by the court and were given to that abusive man from whom they had a narrow escape. She was forced to pay child support when she had not taken even a one cent from her home or from her husband after she left. Her two children were given to their father because she was going to school. Judge punished her and her two children for trying to establish their life. Her Children suffered the most because of the Justice System. I wrote this book for two reasons One reason is to tell my children especially my son that I am very sorry for taking my case to American Justice System because his father has kept him in fear. Even my son is adult now but his father is still treating my son like he was treating me and my son is kept in a lot of fear, stress and extreme tension. His father didn't let him complete his education. If he had encouraged my son to complete his education, then he wouldn't be able to control my son's life. That is tearing my heart every day. And second reason is that I want to help a Battered Woman and their children by telling them my story. I was a very private person but that didn't help me. Every battered woman of this country should know that when a man hit his wife is not love. It is a danger sign figure out on time about safety zones for self and for children. My story will guide them to be strong enough to help their children.

Examples of such alien invasions include pernicious weeds such as Japanese knotweed, an introduced garden ornamental which can grow through concrete, the water hyacinth which has choked tropical waterways, and many introduced animals which have out-competed and displaced local fauna. This book addresses the broader context of invasive and exotic species, in terms of the perceived threats and environmental concerns which surround alien species and ecological invasions. Book excerpt: An argument against neobehaviorism and for "naturalized Cartesianism," which couples a wholly materialist approach to the mind with a fully realist attitude to the phenomena of conscious experience. In Mental Reality, Galen Strawson argues that much contemporary philosophy of mind gives undue primacy of place to publicly observable phenomena, nonmental phenomena, and behavioral phenomena (understood as publicly observable phenomena) in its account of the nature of mind. It does so at the expense of the phenomena of conscious experience. Strawson describes an alternative position, "naturalized Cartesianism," which couples the materialist view that mind is entirely natural and wholly physical with a fully realist account of the nature of conscious experience. Naturalized Cartesianism is an adductive (as opposed to reductive) form of materialism. Adductive materialists don't claim that conscious experience is anything less than we ordinarily conceive it to be, in being wholly physical. They claim instead that the physical is something more than we ordinarily conceive it to be, given that many of the wholly physical goings on in the brain constitute—literally are—conscious experiences as we ordinarily conceive them. Since naturalized Cartesianism downgrades the place of reference to nonmental and publicly observable phenomena in an adequate account of mental phenomena, Strawson considers in detail the question of what part such reference still has to play. He argues that it is a mistake to think that all behavioral phenomena are publicly observable phenomena.This revised and expanded edition of Mental Reality includes a new appendix, which thoroughly revises the account of intentionality given in chapter 7.
