Book It s God s Word Not Mine

Download or read book It s God s Word Not Mine written by Gail J. Manizak and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2012-02 with total page 412 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Gail Manizak is a gifted prophet. At sixteen years old, Gail became a born-again believer; joy filled her heart daily as page after page of poetry was written. Being full of God’s presence, she wrote daily as He led. At twenty-four years old, Gail, having been baptized in the Holy Spirit, received a gift of writing prophetic words. As with the poetry, it came very naturally to write what she heard in her ear. It was prophesied in 1971 that she would hold the office of a prophet. In April of 2010, she was officially released by leadership into the office of a prophet. Prophetic words spoken confirmed this portion of her call, the first being spoken over her life forty years ago. This gift has been used to minister to people all over the world. In 2009, the Lord dealt with her about opening up the websites for personal prophecy requests. She was reminded of all the psychics, soothsayers, palm readers, card readers, and astrologers that were operating in the gift but not of the Holy Spirit. People were accepting a spirit of deception and lies. To be a servant to the people is an honor.

Book Happiness Is Not My Companion

Download or read book Happiness Is Not My Companion written by David M. Jordan and published by Indiana University Press. This book was released on 2001-05-28 with total page 417 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The valorous but troubled career of the Civil War general best known for defending Little Round Top and averting a Union defeat at Gettysburg. The lieutenant colonel of a New York regiment and rising star in the Army of the Potomac, Gouverneur K. Warren performed heroically at Gettysburg. For his service at Bristoe Station and Mine Run, he was awarded command of the Fifth Corps for the 1864 Virginia campaign. But Warren’s peculiarities of temperament and personality put a cloud over his service at the Wilderness and Spotsylvania and cost him the confidence of his superiors, Grant and Meade. He was summarily relieved of his command by Philip Sheridan after winning the Battle of Five Forks, just eight days before Appomattox. Warren continued as an engineer of distinction in the Army after the war, but he was determined to clear his name before a board of inquiry, which conducted an exhaustive investigation into the battle, Warren’s conduct, and Sheridan’s arbitrary action. However, the findings of the court vindicating Warren were not made public until shortly after his death. For this major biography of Gouverneur Warren, David M. Jordan utilizes Warren’s own voluminous collection of letters, papers, orders, and other items saved by his family, as well as the letters and writings of such contemporaries as his aide and brother-in-law Washington Roebling, Andrew Humphreys, Winfield Hancock, George Gordon Meade, and Ulysses S. Grant. Jordan presents a vivid account of the life and times of a complex military figure.

But when she meets her new client, Martin Joy, the natural caution that has protected Francine and fueled her rise melts away. Powerless to fight the irresistible magnetism between them, client and counsel tumble into a blistering affair that breaks every rule. Though Martin insists his marriage is over, Francine doesn’t believe him. Certain details he’s told her don’t quite add up. Consumed with a passion she cannot control and increasingly obsessed with Martin’s relationship with his wife, Donna, Francine follows the woman one night . . . and discovers her having dinner with her supposedly soon-to-be-ex-husband. The next morning, Francine awakens in her neighbor’s apartment with blood on her clothes and no recollection of what transpired after she spied Donna and Martin together. Then Francine receives more devastating news: Martin’s wife has vanished. That dinner was the last place anyone has seen Donna Joy alive. Suddenly, Francine finds herself caught in a dangerous labyrinth of deception, lies, and secrets, in which one false move could lead to her undoing. What happened that night and why can’t Francine remember? Where is Donna and who is responsible for her disappearance? The further Francine goes to find answers, the tighter the net seems to draw—around her lover, herself, and the life she’s meticulously built.
