Book The 80 80 Marriage

Download or read book The 80 80 Marriage written by Nate Klemp PhD and published by Penguin. This book was released on 2021-02-09 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: NAMED ONE OF COSMOPOLITAN'S "15 BEST MARRIAGE BOOKS ALL COUPLES SHOULD READ." An accessible, transformative guide for couples seeking greater love, connection, and intimacy in our modern world Nate and Kaley Klemp were both successful in their careers, consulting for high-powered companies around the world. Their work as mindfulness and leadership experts, however, often fell to the wayside when they came home in the evening, only to end up fighting about fairness in their marriage. They believed in a model where each partner contributed equally and fairness ruled, but, in reality, they were finding that balance near impossible to achieve. From this frustration, they developed the idea of the 80/80 marriage, a new model for balancing career, family, and love. The 80/80 Marriage pushes couples beyond the limited idea of "fairness" toward a new model grounded on radical generosity and shared success, one that calls for each partner to contribute 80 percent to build the strongest possible relationship. Drawing from more than one hundred interviews with couples from all walks of life, stories from business and pop culture, scientific studies, and ancient philosophical insights, husband-and-wife team Nate and Kaley Klemp pinpoint exactly what's not working in modern marriage. Their 80/80 model of marriage provides practical, powerful solutions to transform your relationship and open up space for greater love and connection.

Book The 80 Year Dash

Download or read book The 80 Year Dash written by Wells Field and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2012-01-05 with total page 343 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There is nothing about me during my early years that is remarkable. Almost any lad can relate to these years. But WW II split my sister and me apart from each other and from our parents. Though not deprived of excellent academic institutions (boarding schools) and summer camps, we both felt abandoned, unwanted, and unloved by our parents. Our lives changed dramatically from being carefree, open, and fun-loving to being guarded, suspicious, and resentful. I became rebellious and disrespectful of authority. I got in a lot of trouble, some instances being quite serious. Then, coming as a surprise to many people, I joined the Marine Corps and became a career Marine, fighting in Korea and VietNam. These experiences changed me dramatically. Married and divorced, I lost respect for women and had no intention of ever marrying again, that is, until I met a very special lady whom I married within two months of our first meeting. She softened my outlook on life, and, for the first time, I felt loved and was able to love. When I finally accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord, that love knew no bounds. The 80 year journey hits many bumps along the way, but there are many funny times also.

Book Doris Day and my search for relatives

Download or read book Doris Day and my search for relatives written by Marianne E. Meyer and published by BoD – Books on Demand. This book was released on 2014-03-21 with total page 190 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The mystery of life puzzles all of us. Marianne Meyer had her first out-of-body experience at age two. Not being able to make herself understood led to a seeker's life. The confusing n o t h i n g called time drifts us relentless toward the end. As long as the brain makes connections we can leap back and forth in time. From infancy to middle age and back, the author scavenges tidbits from those times and transfers them to the presence. Shortly after moving from Frankfurt to L. A., Marianne met her great-grandfather on a higher level of consciousness. She was told he had migrated to USA, took on the last name Victor and lived in the Carmel area. He had left his homeland after creating the child of love on Christmas 1901. Wilhelmina Meckes was married in a hurry, in vindication of honor, and on October 5, Maria Hörr was born as a credited 7 month child. A few years ago, Marianne learned about her mother's family relationship with the Carmel resident Doris Day! Both their grandmothers descended from J. J. Mann and M. E. Nollert and grew up in Neckarhäuserhof, a tiny village near Heidelberg. The synchronicity of both her parents' relatives living in Carmel Mrs. Meyer views as an appeal to go forward with searching for her father's family members. She still has a clear vision of her incorporeal ancestor. Will she find a picture of him in photo albums of a Victor family living in or near Carmel? Enthralling, Marianne portrays her exciting life in India, USA, South Pacific, Africa and Europe. Proving prophecy, past lives and synchronizes, Dr. Meyer presents metaphysics as the true science and shows how she heals herself and her pets. She also uncovers how she cracks the mysterious water code via exploring water crystal photos. Marianne wishes men to fast progress on the way of knowledge. That would be likely if scientists would go out on a limb, rid themselves of blinders and examine life without preconceptions just like children. She is inspired by a pioneering spirit and a passionate dedication on the well-being of the people and the animals. Therefore, 50 cents of each sold copy goes to DDAF and two pounds.

Download or read book Jimmy Jack the Alcoholic Teacher written by Jimmy Jack and published by LifeRich Publishing. This book was released on 2020-08-13 with total page 763 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Jimmy Jack was a respected citizen with a hidden secret: He had been an alcoholic since his early teen years. Despite obtaining three Master Degrees and being wildly successful in several fields, it was not enough to keep him sober. After getting a DWI, Jack served twenty-one months of a four-year sentence in one of the most out of control and violent prisons in the state of Texas. In Jimmy Jack: The Alcoholic Teacher, he narrates his journey and describes how his prison experience literally saved his life. He tells how he, as a genuine Christian with real-time faults and attitudes, was simply trying to survive and come out of the horrible situation a better person. Jack documented his story, and the stories of other inmates, by writing two pages each day for 1 year. In this memoir, he entertains with humor, teaches about the healing power of Jesus, demonstrates how a respected member of society navigated incarceration, and offers hope for a better tomorrow.

Download or read book North Carolina Civil War Obituaries Regiments 1 through 46 written by E.B. Munson and published by McFarland. This book was released on 2015-09-15 with total page 251 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: North Carolina sent more than 125,000 men and boys to fight the Civil War. It is estimated that about 40,000 lost their lives on the battlefield or by disease. Most were sent home for burial in family plots or community churchyards but thousands could not be identified or could not be transported and were interred in unmarked graves across the country. Many never had an obituary published. Others had obituaries that included directions to the deceased's final resting place. This compilation of obituaries from North Carolina newspapers documents the date and cause of death for hundreds of soldiers, with many providing place of burial, surviving relatives, last words, accounts by comrades and details of military service.
