At the dawn of this new world age, many people across the globe are awakening to their own individuality and spirituality, asking, What am I here for? You are here to advance your soul. For centuries, we have incarnated with the mission to advance, only to forget and be distracted by earthly ego and self-doubt. Millions of us have lost our capacity for joy. We have forgotten how to love. You are a soul on a karmic journey. A soul has been given chance after chance, life after life, to get it right. The world that you have lived in so far is an illusion. All of the striving, doing and collecting, an expression of not knowing what you are here to achieve. At this dawning of our new age, millions of us feel a gap. Love, is the answer. By advancing your soul, you will open up your power for the whole of humanity. As you emerge to find and express your true self, you will become a channel for abundance, peace and joy. Foreword by Dr Robert Holden, expert on happiness.
Download or read book Simply the Best written by Mike Johnston and published by Heritage House Publishing Co. This book was released on 2011-02-01 with total page 196 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What makes players simply the best? That’s what coach Mike Johnston and former NHL great Ryan Walter set out to discover in Simply the Best: Players on Performance. The authors interviewed these top competitors to discover how they prepare to be the best in the world, how they lead a dressing room from the inside out, and how coaches best inspire their winning performances. In their previous book, the hugely successful Simply the Best: Insights and Strategies from Great Hockey Coaches, Johnston and Walter asked top hockey coaches to talk about the methods they use to get the best performance from their players. In seeking the players’ perspective, the authors have again compiled fascinating information that is as relevant to the game of life as it is to hockey. Young and old alike will be inspired and motivated as they gain access to exclusive insights directly from the players. Simply the Best: Players on Performance is not only a must-read for hockey fans, players, and coaches, but will also resonate with anyone pursuing excellence, individually or as part of a team.

Download or read book Comic Sense written by Thomas Pughe and published by Birkhäuser. This book was released on 2013-03-09 with total page 206 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The idea for this study came to me in the course of my reading of innova tive US-American! fiction of the last three decades. I observed that much of it is cast in the comic mode - or, more precisely, that there seems to be in contemporary fiction an affinity between 'innovation' and 'the comic' and that this affinity, furthermore, appears to be characteristic of postmo dernism. It is obvious, at the same time, that comic has become an elusive and, more often than not, a disputable category. Frederick Karl, in his sur vey of American Fictions 1940-1980, maintains, for instance, that much comic writing consists in ridicule that lacks deeper intellectual and cul tural roots. "Wit and mockery," he notes, "by themselves have little lasting value. Even in the best of such fiction, Gravity's Rainbow, one is made aware of attenuated skits stiched onto previous segments, rather than baked in by a defined point of view. " (Karl: 27) Such assessments of course challenge my view that the comic is in significant ways connected with what is innovative in postmodernist US-American fiction. Yet the term comic -or related terms like humour, parody, irony and so fort- is regularly and heavily employed in discussions or reviews of con temporary fiction.
