Download or read book Journeying Into Spirit Worlds written by Bob Woodward and published by CLAIRVIEW BOOKS. This book was released on 2022-04-11 with total page 102 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: ‘My reason for writing this book is quite simple. I want to ask my spirit guides to tell us of ways in which we may – whilst still living in our physical bodies on earth – cross over the threshold that leads into realms of spirit... These are the same worlds that we will enter after our earthly deaths, and the very same worlds from which we have also descended into our earthly births.’ Working with his personal spirit guides, Bob Woodward seeks contemporary methods to gain access to higher worlds, the metaphysical realms of reality that underpin our existence. In comprehensible language – accessible to any serious seeker of truth – he presents transcripts of communications with his guides, each section featuring an individual teaching followed by questions, discussion and commentary. The messages he receives contain a sequence of imaginative, inspiring meditations that enable the reader to explore worlds of spirit. Reconnecting consciously with these spheres brings true knowledge of ourselves, allowing each of us to work as enlightened beings, with greater compassion and understanding, for the good of the whole world. Following on from his Knowledge of Spirit Worlds and Life After Death, Bob Woodward’s new book provides vital insights for anyone aspiring to a greater sense of meaning and purpose in their lives.

Download or read book A Two Spirit Journey written by Ma-Nee Chacaby and published by Univ. of Manitoba Press. This book was released on 2016-05-03 with total page 322 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A compelling, harrowing, but ultimately uplifting story of resilience and self-discovery. A Two-Spirit Journey is Ma-Nee Chacaby’s extraordinary account of her life as an Ojibwa-Cree lesbian. From her early, often harrowing memories of life and abuse in a remote Ojibwa community riven by poverty and alcoholism, Chacaby’s story is one of enduring and ultimately overcoming the social, economic, and health legacies of colonialism. As a child, Chacaby learned spiritual and cultural traditions from her Cree grandmother and trapping, hunting, and bush survival skills from her Ojibwa stepfather. She also suffered physical and sexual abuse by different adults, and in her teen years became alcoholic herself. At twenty, Chacaby moved to Thunder Bay with her children to escape an abusive marriage. Abuse, compounded by racism, continued, but Chacaby found supports to help herself and others. Over the following decades, she achieved sobriety; trained and worked as an alcoholism counsellor; raised her children and fostered many others; learned to live with visual impairment; and came out as a lesbian. In 2013, Chacaby led the first gay pride parade in Thunder Bay. Ma-Nee Chacaby has emerged from hardship grounded in faith, compassion, humour, and resilience. Her memoir provides unprecedented insights into the challenges still faced by many Indigenous people.

Download or read book The Spirit Led Leader written by Timothy C. Geoffrion and published by Rowman & Littlefield. This book was released on 2005-11-14 with total page 255 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In our postmodern, experience-oriented culture, people are longing for greater authenticity, integrity, and depth in their pastors and leaders. Board directors, church members, and staff alike are all eagerly seeking leaders who effectively integrate their spirituality and leadership. Pastors and executives, however, often struggle with knowing how to integrate their spiritual values and practices into their leadership and management roles. Designed for pastors, executives, administrators, managers, coordinators, and all who see themselves as leaders and who want to fulfill their God-given purpose, The Spirit-Led Leader addresses the critical fusion of spiritual life and leadership for those who not only want to see results, but who also desire to care just as deeply about who they are and how they lead as they do about what they produce and accomplish. Geoffrion creates a new vision for spiritual leadership as partly an art, partly a result of careful planning, and always a working of the grace of God

Download or read book A Journey Into Being written by Christine Ramos and published by . This book was released on 2006-06 with total page 236 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: UPDATED AND REVISED SECOND EDITION From the author: When it comes to getting guidance about the arrival of new life the sources are plenty. Healthcare practitioners, books, magazines, websites, and well meaning friends and family members can all offer valuable information. But what about gaining insight about childbearing from a consciousness and spiritual perspective? When I was pregnant with my second child I sought a different type of guidance; one that spoke to the true depth of carrying another life inside me. As a spiritual person and empath I knew enough to understand that nothing is random. I wanted to learn about the soul of my unborn child and why I would be the one honored to be his or her parent. I craved to know the process of spirit uniting with physical body. When does it happen and can the mother sense it? Is it possible to communicate with the consciousness of your baby before birth? Can you be so attuned to your child that you can intuit their inner happenings on a vibrational level? I had nowhere to turn to for the answers to these deeper questions. So I began my quest to put it all together. It meant delving deep to make sound premises backed by available research and reliable observation. The nurse in me demanded empirical evidence, but I also wanted the warmth of personal accounts. A Journey Into Being is cumulation of medical, scientific, spiritual, and Eastern wisdom. It will take you where science meets spirituality on the transformational passage of the soul as it prepares for life, unites with the physical body, and undergoes birth. It will provide guidance on how to know and nurture a child's inner being. Once we view new life through the lens of spirit many questions and mystifying issues surrounding the arrival of new life will become clearer like: How do I nurture my child on a more intuitive level? Why are some babies more sensitive or reactive than others? Why do I feel like I've known my newborn all my life? How can I connect spiritually to my child during pregnancy? Was I chosen to be my child's parent? What is the true meaning of life/reality/consciousness How do we reconcile the idea of a just Higher Being when cruel things can happen to innocent children? A Journey Into Being is not just for those who are parents or wish to become parents. It can help anyone gain greater insight into the eternal nature of consciousness and explore the course of their own journey into physical being or of those they love. This book is my tribute to every precious child as each brings the promise of positive change for a more loving universe.

Download or read book Unsettling Spirit written by Denise M. Nadeau and published by McGill-Queen's Press - MQUP. This book was released on 2020-04-02 with total page 361 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What does it mean to be a white settler on land taken from peoples who have lived there since time immemorial? In the context of reconciliation and Indigenous resurgence, Unsettling Spirit provides a personal perspective on decolonization, informed by Indigenous traditions and lifeways, and the need to examine one's complicity with colonial structures. Applying autoethnography grounded in Indigenous and feminist methodologies, Denise Nadeau weaves together stories and reflections on how to live with integrity on stolen and occupied land. The author chronicles her early and brief experience of "Native mission" in the late 1980s and early 1990s in northern Canada and Chiapas, Mexico, and the gradual recognition that she had internalized colonialist concepts of the "good Christian" and the Great White Helper. Drawing on somatic psychotherapy, Nadeau addresses contemporary manifestations of helping and the politics of trauma. She uncovers her ancestors' settler background and the responsibilities that come with facing this history. Caught between two traditions – born and raised Catholic but challenged by Indigenous ways of life – the author traces her engagement with Indigenous values and how relationships inform her ongoing journey. A foreword by Cree-Métis author Deanna Reder places the work in a broader context of Indigenous scholarship. Incorporating insights from Indigenous ethical and legal frameworks, Unsettling Spirit offers an accessible reflection on possibilities for settler decolonization as well as for decolonizing Christian and interfaith practice.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Bits & Pieces has been a tool for understanding myself—a more peaceful me. Writing this book has allowed me to open doors to discover more of who “I am.” I have had experiences, shifted ideas, sorted facts, discovered some of my beliefs and brought together some of my ideas about biology and spirituality. My hope is that others might find more self-understanding, more self-realization from sharing my story. We just might discover we are more alike than different. I was feeling so crazy, detached and miserable, with anxiety galore. About three years ago I was searching for a feel-better place. Among all the modalities I tried, I walked into a Center for Spiritual Living, thinking this might be an answer. At the time it was an unconscious choice, walking this spiritual path, but now it’s a conscious choice. I knew I didn’t like feeling this crazy, and that was a motivator for me, an inertia buster, as I call it. I have had shifts of consciousness, observed different viewpoints and I have totally changed my ideas of how things work. A transformation, my evolution in consciousness. Because of my personal and our collective consciousness, a spiritual path may not be what we think, because things aren’t always as they seem. It’s all in our views and our beliefs. The destination, unknown to me at the time, was to walk a spiritual path. My life journey consisted of experiences, that allowed me to reach my current understanding about life. I have realized that we are following our destiny all the time, creating life on the go. The best way is to become aware, we become empowered making it a better journey—a better life for me and for you. And the journey continues...
