There are also a number of excellent links courses that are on islands, for example, The Machrie on the island of Islay and La Moye, Royal Jersey and Royal Guernsey on the Channel Islands near France. About the Author: In the early 1990's David Worley switched his sporting passion from tennis to golf after a persistent shoulder injury led to the end of playing competitive tennis. His wife is Scottish born and he fell in love with Scotland right from the first visit in 1996. David is a member of the Commonwealth Golf Club in Melbourne and Sorento Golf Club and Moonah Links and plays off a handicap of 11. Until 2001 David was principal of his own investment company and in 1989 he was voted investment Advisor of the Year for Australia by the industry magazine 'Money Management.'
