Book excerpt: Was in Boston six weeks previously and saw Joseph Peirce, who was making inquiries of me respecting Uncle Fluckers interest in Falmouth, and I think he was of opinion, that it would be best to make partition of such lands as were undivided, with the heirs of Uncle Francis Waldo & Isaac Winslow; it is what I very much wish to have done, as I am persuaded it is for the interest of all the heirs... Notes that each heir can dispose of their part as they see fit. Adds that if Knox is going to decide on a plan of general division, he hopes it can be done quickly: I have it in contemplation to apply to the Supreme Court, for commissioners to be appointed to make an assignment to me of my share unless some mode of division can be agreed upon by all the heirs. Mentions since he last saw Knox in Boston, Partridge has commenced an action against Cooper's claim and Nathan Winslow. The issue of the action was favorable to Partridge in court, but there has been an appeal. Notes that there is a lack evidence of improvement on Cooper's claim because the witnesses have all died. In consequence, it is imperative to get Uncle Fluckers papers sent to Boston. Sympathizes with Knox over the loss of his son Marcus.

Complains that trespassers on the Waldo patent are so numerous and so powerful that they cannot be ejected. Comments that her family had previously overestimated the worth of their inherited lands. Promises to make every exertion possible on behalf of her and her fatherless children to obtain their proper inheritance. Location inferred.
