Book Yug Purush Bharat Ratana Atal Ji

Download or read book Yug Purush Bharat Ratana Atal Ji written by Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' and published by Diamond Pocket Books Pvt Ltd. This book was released on 2023-02-02 with total page 872 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I was reading Nishankji's stories. Short stories, touching stories, touching life, seem to touch rural, hilly areas. If you delve into them now, you will get pain and it will leave so many questions behind. When I read the list of Nishankji's compositions, I am not talking about reading the compositions, then I acknowledged his calibre. Writing is a spiritual practice, if the feelings have been put into words, then it should be understood that it is an original form, and has taken concrete form, wants some shape, so the journey ahead begins. I congratulate Nishankji. But the sensation, which is of heart, should not die and when a person feels his sensation as the sensation of the whole country and society, then a change happens. (Excerpts of Atal's speech on the inauguration of Nisbankji's book- 'Khade Hut Prashn', a collection of stories, on 22" May 2007)

Book Reading Ji Kang s Essays

Download or read book Reading Ji Kang s Essays written by David Chai and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2021-09-09 with total page 242 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the first English-language book on the philosophy of Ji Kang. Moreover, it offers the first systematic treatment of his philosophy, thus filling a significant gap in English-language scholarship on early medieval Chinese literature and philosophy. David Chai brings to light Ji Kang’s Neo-Daoist heritage and explores the themes in his writings that were derived from classical Daoism, most notably the need for humanity to return to a more harmonious co-existence with Nature to further our own self-understanding. His analysis is unique in that it balances translation and annotation with expositing the creative philosophizing of Neo-Daoism. Chai analyzes the entirety of Ji Kang’s essays, exploring his philosophical reflections on music, aesthetics, ethics, self-cultivation, and fate. Reading Ji Kang/s Essays will be of interest to scholars and students of Chinese philosophy and literature. It offers the first comprehensive philosophical examination of a heretofore neglected figure in Neo-Daoism.

Book Ji an Literati and the Local in Song Yuan Ming China

Download or read book Ji an Literati and the Local in Song Yuan Ming China written by Anne Gerritsen and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2007-05-15 with total page 275 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Drawing on largely local sources, including local gazetteers and literati inscriptions for religious sites, this book offers a comprehensive examination of what it means to be 'local' during the Southern Song, Yuan and Ming dynasties in Ji'an prefecture (Jiangxi). It argues that 'belonging locally' was important to Ji'an literati throughout this period. How they achieved that, however, changed significantly. Southern Song and Yuan literati wrote about religious sites from within their local communities, but their early Ming counterparts wrote about local temples from their posts at the capital, seeking to transform local sites from a distance. By the late Ming, temples had been superseded by other sites of local activism, including community compacts, lineage prefaces, and community covenants.
