Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Unmistakable evidence that many of Jesus’ teachings were altered, deleted or never recorded In their classic series “The Lost Teachings of Jesus,” Mark L. Prophet and Elizabeth Clare Prophet prove that many of Jesus’ original teachings are missing. They show that the New Testament records only a fragment of what Jesus taught. That what was written down was tampered with by numerous editors or suppressed by “guardians of the faith.” And that some of what was recorded has been misinterpreted to this day. The authors fill in the gaps with a bold reconstruction of the essence of Jesus’ message. They unfold the lost teachings Jesus gave in public to the multitudes and in secret to his closest disciples. In modern vernacular, they offer a unique blend of the mystical and the practical that goes beyond the orthodox view of Jesus to discover his original message. And they answer questions that have puzzled readers of the Bible for centuries.

This book was released on 2023-02-14 with total page 90 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The wife and the mother are the inappreciable treasures given unto you by God. They are the fairest ornaments of existence, and of them shall be born all the inhabitants of the world. In the late 1800s, a Russian explorer discovered another record of Christ's life and teachings, guarded for centuries by the leaders of a monastery in Tibet. Ancient traders recorded their experiences with Christ and His teachings and brought these records to India. The explorer reported that these words were "remarkable for their character of divine grandeur" and were "sublime words" from the Master Himself. Alonzo Gaskill presents this extra-biblical text in which Christ expounds the divine role of women in the gospel and the family. This book will help expand your appreciation and respect for women and their sacred part in God's plan.

Book excerpt: “[A] tour de force through an incredible array of myth, history and philosophy . . . that have shaped the teachings of the world’s Great Masters.” —Jim Marrs, author of the New York Times bestseller, Rule by Secrecy A breathtaking work of staggering research and synthesis that provides startling new information and context to the first thirty years of Jesus’ life Where was Jesus for the first thirty years of his life? Where and what was he taught? Who were his teachers? Based on new information culled from hard to find Vatican texts, theosophical classics, ancient texts, legends, and systems of hermetic symbolism, Tricia McCannon constructs a radical new timeline of Jesus’ life. She assert Jesus spent at least seven years of study and training in Egypt, a number of years in England, and visited both India and Tibet before beginning his public ministry in Palestine. This is a wide-ranging examination of the direct links and similarities between Jesus’ teachings and those of various Mystery religions and sects that were popular during his lifetime, including the Essenes, Buddhist, Mithrans, Zoroastrians, and Druids. McCannon offers compelling evidence that places Jesus’s life and mission firmly in the context of the profound spiritual teachings that came before him. Drawing on records from the Vatican, Tibet, India, and Egypt, along with Greek, Aramaic, and Pali text, as well as oral traditions of Jesus’s teachings, McCannon uncovers the real reason that he has remained such a powerful and pivotal figure in world consciousness for over two millennia. “Thoroughly researched, interesting, and highly readable. . . . Tricia McCannon has done modern readers a great service by compiling this very readable book about Jesus’s life and teachings.” —Chet B. Snow, Ph.D., author of Mass Dreams of the Future

Book Chronicle of the Life and Teachings of Jesus of Nazareth

Download or read book Chronicle of the Life and Teachings of Jesus of Nazareth written by Larry Mullins and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2013-07-27 with total page 246 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Chronicle of the Life and Teachings of Jesus of Nazareth harmonizes with the Gospels as presented in the Bible. These biblical records have been sufficient to change the course of history on our planet for almost two thousand years. However, there are many gaps in the Gospel narratives. As a result, speculations of various kinds about what may have taken place during the so-called “lost years of Jesus” have been published in numerous books and articles. The authors of this Chronicle examined the plausibility of many of these supplementary sources. Only one, in our judgment, contains wholesome and credible substance about these “lost years” that is in congruence with the known Gospels. That source is The Urantia Book. Nearly 800 of the 2097 pages in The Urantia Book are devoted to the life and teachings of Jesus as derived from diverse sources. The authors of The Urantia Book state that they served more as “collectors and editors” rather than as original narrators of this restatement of Jesus' life on earth.* We have no way of verifying the accuracy of this material, and some may object to any attempt to embellish the available historic record in the Gospels. Even so, the Apostle John cautions us that the Gospel record is far from complete: “Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.” [John 21:25] Surely then, if there is any chance that more of the precious words of Jesus have been recorded, should we not at least investigate this possibility with an open mind? However, whether the reader considers our treatment of the “lost years” as entertaining fiction or as credible history, we trust you will find these episodes in the Chronicle engaging and instructive. We have only scratched the surface of the story of the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth as portrayed in The Urantia Book. Although, as we have stated, the Chronicle is consistent with the essential historic narration of the New Testament, The Urantia Book goes further. And its message is urgent, stating that “Of all human knowledge, that which is of greatest value is to know the religious life of Jesus and how he lived it.” If our modest presentation resonates with the reader, we urge you to investigate the source material we used: The Urantia Book. There you will find an abundance of information that we believe is of revelatory magnitude. Our hope is that a new generation of believers will be inspired to follow the Master's example of love and service. Larry MullinsJoan Batson Mullins

It is our opinion that the original presentation by the authors of these words of Jesus in the English language should be respected. Therefore we have edited only for the understanding or comfort of modern readers.

Book The Lost Sayings of Jesus

Download or read book The Lost Sayings of Jesus written by and published by Turner Publishing Company. This book was released on 2011-06-30 with total page 188 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Jesus’s words of wisdom can become a companion on your own spiritual journey. The gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are not the only record we have of the words spoken by Jesus. Designed to challenge, enlighten and inspire, they are also quoted in a wide variety of other ancient sources—including the Qur’an, writings by early Christian church fathers, and fragments of lost gospels only recently discovered. Some of these sayings are familiar; many are surprising; all expand our conventional understanding of the scope and essence of Jesus’s original teachings. More than a “Christian” compilation, this collection of more than three hundred sayings reveals a Jesus whose words encapsulate spiritual truths that resonate across religious boundaries. From the encouraging “I am hope for the hopeless,” to the wise and practical “Love those who hate you and you will not have an enemy,” to the candid “Give no opportunity to the evil one,” these pointed sayings not only reveal how Jesus was understood and portrayed across a wide variety of cultures long ago—they will also penetrate to your heart, challenge your assumptions, and energize your own spiritual quest. Now you can experience the wisdom and power of Jesus’s sayings even if you have no previous knowledge of these little-known texts.

Book Jesus and the Lost Goddess

Download or read book Jesus and the Lost Goddess written by Timothy Freke and published by Harmony. This book was released on 2011-08-10 with total page 338 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Why Were the Teachings of the Original Christians Brutally Suppressed by the Roman Church? • Because they portray Jesus and Mary Magdalene as mythic figures based on the Pagan Godman and Goddess • Because they show that the gospel story is a spiritual allegory encapsulating a profound philosophy that leads to mythical enlightenment • Because they have the power to turn the world inside out and transform life into an exploration of consciousness Drawing on modern scholarship, the authors of the international bestseller The Jesus Mysteries decode the secret teachings of the original Christians for the first time in almost two millennia and theorize about who the original Christians really were and what they actually taught. In addition, the book explores the many myths of Jesus and the Goddess and unlocks the lost secret teachings of Christian mysticism, which promise happiness and immortality to those who attain the state of Gnosis, or enlightenment. This daring and controversial book recovers the ancient wisdom of the original Christians and demonstrates its relevance to us today.

Book The Lost Teachings of the Cathars

Download or read book The Lost Teachings of the Cathars written by Andrew Phillip Smith and published by Watkins Media Limited. This book was released on 2015-11-24 with total page 318 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A deep-dive into the history, culture, and legacy of the medieval Christian dualist movement, Catharism—as seen in popular novels by Dan Brown and Kate Mosse Centuries after the brutal slaughter of the Cathars by papally endorsed Northern French forces, and their suppression by the Inquisition, the medieval Cathars continue to exert a powerful influence on both popular culture and spiritual seekers. Yet few people know anything of the beliefs of the Cathars beyond vague notions that they believed in reincarnation, were vegetarians, were somehow Gnostic, and had some relation to Mary Magdalene. The Lost Teachings of the Cathars explores the history of this Christian dualist movement between the twelfth and fourteenth centuries, offering a sympathetic yet critical examination of its beliefs and practices. In addition to investigating the Cathars’ origin, their relationship to Gnosticism, and their possible survival of the Inquisition, author Andrew Philip Smith also addresses theories and figures from the Cathars’ recent past. Eccentric esotericists initiated a neo-Cathar revival in the Languedoc which inspired the philosopher Simone Weil. The German Otto Rahn—the real-life Indiana Jones—believed that the Cathars were protectors of the Holy Grail and received support from Heinrich Himmler. Meanwhile, English psychiatrist Arthur Guirdham became convinced that he and a circle of patients had all been Cathars in previous lives. Tourists flock to the Languedoc to visit Cathar country. Bestsellers such as Kate Mosse’ timeslip novel Labyrinth continue to fascinate readers. But what did the Cathars really believe and practice?
