But St. Paul tells the Ephesians that this deep interest in us has been from the beginning, that the coming of the Christ was no mere afterthought It was the eternal purpose of God's love, he says, from the foundation of the world that the eternal Christ should save humanity, that the poor earth-children should be gathered into the arms of the Father. God was always caring. Keeping all this in mind we shall better understand what the Bible teaches, that 'every incoming of God into human experience is prepared there in the Unseen before it expresses itself here in the Seen.
