Elizabeth Abel (1751-ca. 1835), the daughter of Jacob (Johann) Abel and Maria Catherine Messinger. They were parents of ten children. Jacob Werner arrived at Philadelphia, Pa. on 28 Aug. 1750 on board the ship Phoenix. Jacob Werner and his second generation descendants remained their entire lives in Northampton Co., Pa. It was not until the third generation that members of this Werner family began to migrate from Northampton County to other areas.
