However, he reasoned with them and was able to get away; the people have since seemed to accept him. Reports that he has seen by a letter to Isaac Winslow, Sr. that Knox has appointed an agent for the eastern country (likely referring to Thomas Vose), and believes he has made a very great sacrifice. Will go to the eastern country himself in the spring and attend to business there.
