Book Nonlinear Control Systems

Download or read book Nonlinear Control Systems written by Alberto Isidori and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 1995-08-11 with total page 580 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The purpose of this book is to present a self-contained description of the fun damentals of the theory of nonlinear control systems, with special emphasis on the differential geometric approach. The book is intended as a graduate text as weil as a reference to scientists and engineers involved in the analysis and design of feedback systems. The first version of this book was written in 1983, while I was teach ing at the Department of Systems Science and Mathematics at Washington University in St. Louis. This new edition integrates my subsequent teaching experience gained at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in 1987, at the Carl-Cranz Gesellschaft in Oberpfaffenhofen in 1987, at the University of California in Berkeley in 1988. In addition to a major rearrangement of the last two Chapters of the first version, this new edition incorporates two additional Chapters at a more elementary level and an exposition of some relevant research findings which have occurred since 1985.

Book On the Use of the Harmonic Linearization Method in the Automatic Control Theory

Download or read book On the Use of the Harmonic Linearization Method in the Automatic Control Theory written by Egor Paul Popov and published by . This book was released on 1957 with total page 14 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This paper considers the use of harmonic linearization as applied to the analysis of nonlinear automatic control systems. This approach, which has been proven in practical engineering applications, involves the replacement of a nonlinear equation by a linear equation. In establishing the method a small parameter is considered which makes it possible to speak with some degree of approximation of the solution of the new equation to that of the given linear equation. Thus, the mathematics of nonlinear mechanics is brought to bear on the problem by explaining and extending the usefulness of automatic control theory and nonlinear systems.

Book Nonlinear Control Systems

Download or read book Nonlinear Control Systems written by Zoran Vukic and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2003-02-04 with total page 410 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This text emphasizes classical methods and presents essential analytical tools and strategies for the construction and development of improved design methods in nonlinear control. It offers engineering procedures for the frequency domain, as well as solved examples for clear understanding of control applications in the industrial, electrical, process, manufacturing, and automotive industries. The authors discuss properties of nonlinear systems, stability, linearization methods, operating modes and dynamic analysis methods, phase trajectories in dynamic analysis of nonlinear systems, and harmonic linearization in dynamic analysis of nonlinear control systems operating in stabilization mode.

Book excerpt: The purpose of this book is to present a self-contained description of the fundamentals of the theory of nonlinear control systems, with special emphasis on the differential geometric approach. The book is intended as a graduate text as well as a reference to scientists and engineers involved in the analysis and design of feedback systems. In addition to a major rearrangement of the last two Chapters of the first version, this new edition incorporates two additional Chapters at a more elementary level and an exposition of some relevant research findings which have occurred since 1985. In the past few years differential geometry has proved to be an effective means of analysis and design of nonlinear control systems as it was in the past for the Laplace transform, complex variable theory and linear algebra in relation to linear systems. Synthesis problems of longstanding interest like disturbance decoupling, noninteracting control, output regulation, and the shaping of the input-output response, can be dealt with relative ease, on the basis of mathematical concepts that can be easily acquired by a control scientist.
