Book From Industry 4 0 to Industry 5 0

Download or read book From Industry 4 0 to Industry 5 0 written by Allam Hamdan and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2023-07-31 with total page 1022 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book aims at bringing together global researchers to generate thought on how this transition from Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0 could make a difference to the globe for larger good. The collaboration and interaction between man and machine has given rise to Industry 5.0. With the prime objective of Industry 5.0 to create a benefit for the human beings while tapping on to the advantage of Industry 4.0, in no case, does it replace what has already been achieved. In fact, it brings to light what can be done in order to make life better. While Industry 4.0 offered extraordinary technological advancement, Industry 5.0 reasons out that technology alone is not sufficient to answer everything or provide a solution, but it is an amalgamation of both machine and human interaction to create that difference. In fact, with the impact of widespread digitalization that has led to dehumanization of the industrial makeup, the interest of global researchers has increased toward mapping how the human creativity and brainpower can be reconciled with the intelligent systems that can enhance process efficiency. Industry 5.0 has touched upon some of those key domains which are of much concern and debate globally including resilience (both business and cyber), environment and sustainability, diversity and inclusion, values and ethics, vision and purpose, circular economy, understanding the human–machine collaboration and the ‘human-touch’ in the production process. This transition that has taken place in moving from Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0 has essentially created a need to pay cognizance to the role of ‘human’ in the process which creates an enhanced focus toward the right kind of skills and competencies, identification of training and developmental needs, talent acquisition and management, safety and wellbeing, future of work as well as hybrid working models. Undeniably, the pace with which Industry 4.0 has been accelerating has bypassed the first three industrial revolutions, which is definitely a consequence of the fast introduction of new and cutting-edge technologies. While organizations are already in analyzing the context, mapping this transition and the flow of activities from Industry 4.0 to 5.0 is gaining attention as Industry 4.0 lacked personalization and customization. This co-existence of man and machine creates a pathway for newer prospects and opportunities to emerge and expand possibilities of personalization with the empowerment of ‘human’ in the production process. This lays the foundation for this book. This book adopts a forward-looking approach by bringing in research and contributions that facilitate in mapping the consereasons, consequences and solutions for ‘man+machine’ across industries. This book serves as a guide not just to academia but also to the industry to adopt suitable strategies that offer insights into global best practices as well as the innovations in the domain.

This book was released on 2012-04 with total page 180 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Education is one of the top three issues on the national agenda. Any means for improving the system is in the best interest of the nation, and "improved leadership and management are critical to the conditions of work that are required for effective teaching and learning to occur" (National Education Association, 1986). OCB and Job Satisfaction are two attitudinal dimensions that have been identified as important to understanding the work behavior of employees in organisations. Organisational Citizenship Behaviours refer to employee work behaviours such as helping others, staying late, or working weekends, performing at levels that exceed enforceable standards, tolerating impositions or inconveniences on the job, and being actively involved in the organisation s affairs (Podsakoff et al. 2000). According to Hannam & Jimmieson (2002) OCB amongst educators may include extra efforts to make learning enjoyable, having extra-curricular activities and making extra effort to talk to learners. Job satisfaction refers to an employee s general attitude towards work.

This book was released on 2016 with total page 12 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Banking in Pakistan is a tough and hectic job now a day due to a number of reasons. Therefore, it may have become difficult for managers to retain bank employees and create job satisfaction as well as motivation between them thus enabling them to perform extra-role behaviors. In this regard, a conceptual model was developed using existing literature with an aim to study the associations among motivation, job satisfaction and the five factors of OCB through a cross sectional study by using deductive research approach.Stratified Multistage Cluster Sampling was used to collect data from 236 bank employees of District Gujrat, Pakistan through questionnaire survey. The aforesaid data was analyzed using Structure Equation Modelling (SEM). Initially, results of Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) established all the factors of the conceptual model for SEM except Sportsmanship. Afterwards, SEM was applied to test the conceptual model (excluding sportsmanship). The results indicated that motivation had a positive significant relationship not only with Job Satisfaction but also with all confirmed factors of OCB except courtesy. Similarly, job satisfaction had a positive significant relationship with all confirmed factors of OCB except civic virtue. The results of this study may be carefully generalized to the banking sector keeping all other factors constant, e.g. culture. Additionally, it was observed that there is a lot more to be explored about OCB therefore the present study provides new directions for the future researchers for including more independent variables (i.e. Job Attitudes, leadership styles, Intrinsic & Extrinsic Motivation etc.) on different types of populations.

Book Moderation Effect Of Counter Work Productive Behaviour On The Relationship Between Job Satisfaction And Organizational Citizenship Behaviour

Download or read book Moderation Effect Of Counter Work Productive Behaviour On The Relationship Between Job Satisfaction And Organizational Citizenship Behaviour written by Gayathri Band and published by . This book was released on 2021 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: OCB ordinarily alludes to practices that decidedly affect the association or its individuals (Poncheri, 2006). OCB can be influenced by imparting in workers an impression of skill in their activity undertakings (Todd, 2003). Bateman and Organ (1983) proposed a noteworthy and solid connection between organizational citizenship conduct and job satisfaction. Bateman and Organ (1983) proposed a critical and strong association between organizational citizenship and occupation fulfillment. Employment fulfillment has been found to have a positive association with work execution and organizational citizenship. The purpose of the present examination was to research if CWB could be gone with moderately high work fulfillment. The present study is undertaken to study if there is a significant moderating effect of CWB on the relationship between Job Satisfaction and Organizational Citizenship Behaviour. CWB is prejudicious to the organization or to co-workers. The Organizations ought to enhance the spontaneous organizational citizenship behaviors of workers to extend satisfaction and, hence, to extend the competitiveness within the organization. The survey results disclosed that job satisfaction encompasses an important positive impact on organizational citizenship behaviour which counterwork productive behaviour encompasses a important negative dampening impact on the link between job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behaviours. The organizations will improve the work satisfaction of their workers by rising perceived operating satisfaction, social satisfaction, and remunerative satisfaction, which might then improve the organizational citizenship behaviours and reduce the negative impact of counterwork productive behaviour.
