El problema de la selección de inversiones se ha formulado tradicionalmente desde la óptica de la economía de la empresa, considerando criterios financieros como el valor actual neto o la tasa interna de rendimiento. Estos métodos están avalados por su fundamento teórico y por su acreditada eficacia práctica; sin embargo, la evidencia empírica sugiere que no son adecuados para la evaluación de proyectos inciertos. En la presente tesis se propone un modelo práctico para la valoración de opciones de inversión basado en el concepto shot - noise, el cual hace posible el análisis de recuperación bajo un ambiente de incertidumbre. Se analizan las variaciones de los parámetros de importancia en el proyecto, tales como el precio, los costos de inversión y la captura de clientes.
